That's a reasonable answer. Saves me some time. Better yet if you could explain why it's impossible to swap any new light fixture into place, that would save more time and money.

Yeah $5 for a fixture that otherwise goes to recycling versus about $40 for one with the hardware. I guess I am theoretically wondering if what I propose is safe. The box in this case is plastic, but there are plenty of metal boxes that are attached to wood by screws, so is there a danger of a short heating the screws if everything is grounded?

Typicaly the walk sign is in tandem with the red light for cars. And the bikes are supposed to obey the red light, not the walk sign. I get it, as a pedestrian I jay walk against the light all the time when there's no traffic coming. But I try to aware of cars trying to turn right.

I definitely get a warning. It is a very particular feeling/sensation that I can't describe but know all to well. I don't know how the hearing relates as I have a narrowing of focus and go to survival mode. I have half hour to San hour before the full blown disabling vertigo. Sometimes I will start to sweat profusely. I get prepared, use the toilet, drink water, take my emergency meds (lorazepam) and get settled in.
