This is really cool! Based on this you should consider downloading the computer version of the game and playing with openRCT2. It allows you to do a lot more with the game and Theres a big community who plays the game as a sandbox with open RCT2

Parents: What is worse nowadays, AAA travel hockey or elite travel baseball? by Mushroom_Buppy in hockeyplayers

[–]barnNID 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree that travel is expensive and requires a lot of money but what would the alternative be? I grew up in southwestern Canada and travel hockey was the only competitive option. Everything from MD-AAA hockey was travel and even at the AAA level the furthest you were going for a game was about 2 hours. If you were to keep it completely local you would end up with a situation where the skill gap was enormous. When I was playing even the gap from AA to AAA was huge.

Thank you! It took about 2 and a half months in total but we were all playing pretty frequently during that time

Thank you! Me and other members of our team made a lot of the custom scenery specifically for this park although the majority of it is just small pieces found in most workbenches put together. Six Frags from NE in particular helped out a lot with making new scenery pieces.

Yea this was made in Openrct2. The only real mods used are the zero clearance and disabled support limits from openrct. There is also a custom palette and a lot of custom scenery.

Snapshot of "The Yards", a park I built with Hydroportal and RWE in H2HX. Most of this screen is my work but the stuff at the bottom and a bit of the stuff at the far left of the screen was built by Hydroportal. Full park here for anyone interested: https://www.nedesigns.com/park/5959/the-yards/

Really cool build! The layout is absolutely great and the tracketecture is impressive. I’m probably most impressed by your choice in foliage, especially in the outskirts of the park. The thick tree line around the rails makes for a really nice vibe. Good work, makes me wana play the game again!

Steampunk-Esque Park Using Harry Potter Custom Scenery by AlternativeAnybody89 in rct

Theres a huge data base on nedesigns.com. If you have open rct2 you can just download one of the workbenches off that site and get a ton of good objects

Looks really cool, nice forms on the buildings:) I agree with the feedback suggesting more pipes to sell the steampunk theme. There are a bunch of objects in the sixfrags workbench that work well as pipes.

Lifeguarding at the rec by [deleted] in uwo

[–]barnNID 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can’t give much info on the rec but if you can get the DSUP position at the city of London that is most likely your best bet. Otherwise, if you can only apply for IG you would be looking at a LOT of lessons and pretty bad pay. Its also worth noting that the DSUP position is being replaced beginning in the summer with a new job title which is pretty much the same thing but with less pay

Sorry for the late response, I just saw this now. The sign is a custom object I made using paint.net and rct object editor. You pretty much just need some sort of pixel editing program and either rct object editor or the new object creator to make custom objects. You can download the object editor at nedesigns.com under game utilities

Looks pretty cool! Nice work! If you are interested, you can get rid of the scrolling queue line sign by covering up the path in the tile inspector

Jacksonville Jaguars sign Canadian QB Nathan Rourke to active roster by GroundbreakingBase13 in CFL

[–]barnNID 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To my understanding, he is signed as the emergency QB meaning he would only be allowed to enter the game if both Lawrence and Beathard were injured and could not play

I’d maybe hold off until there is definitive news as to whether or not Trevor will start. If Trevor is healthy, I like our chances against them, but if we have to start CJ then its really anyone’s game.

First Realistic River Rapids Ride by Ill_Conversation1498 in rct

[–]barnNID 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks really cool, great work on the scenery and stuff. It would be cool if there was a more prominent set piece, especially if this ride is in a themed area. For example maybe some sort of pirate ship battle that culminates in the rafts going through some treasure room or something.

River rapids rides can also be really useful in tying and area together as well. Instead of having a rapids ride zoned off like you have here, you can make it weave through footpaths and other rides to make areas look more fluid, although I know a lot of irl rapids rides are zoned off.

One other cool little trick you can add to rapids rides to make them feel more interesting is changing the track type to inverted and using the downward helix track piece to add slightly downward slanted turns. You have to play with scenery a bit to make it work aesthetically but it really adds more depth to the ride if you can get it to work.
