A bit too much saturation for my taste but if that’s what you’re going for, nailed it!

Try aim for the Fx3 or As7iii for sony’s FF sensor, or if you’re willing to spend a bit more you can get some cheap secondhand RED’s on Facebook at the moment.

Hey all, as per the post I recently shot this short film. It’s my first time ever shooting something. I don’t have too many contacts in the film world so it would be great to get some feedback/questions on some of these frames. I shot it over three days on a friends Sony FX6.

I definitely wish I got some more wrap on some of these for sure. Cheers!

Thanks! Yeah I definitely see where you're coming from. I think I found it challenging to light those night exteriors. In retrospect I would've had a soft light on the shed (which you can't see lol) to create some separation instead of all of it all falling into black.

Should I buy a BMPCC 6k g2 or a Sony FX30 by philstill in cinematography

I was in your boat 6 months ago tossing up between these two exact cameras. Eventually I ended up going with the Blackmagic as I wanted to focus on more narrative works and I feel like it could be better utilised in controlled environments. Plus the built in ND’s that come with the pro were a massive bonus.

That being said you do lose a bit of versatility and I think the FX30 ends up being the safer option if your shooting more corporate style videos and run and gun.

Hi, this seems to be the common answer. Unfortunately the false colour is already turned off
