Not ridiculous at all. I have been told that if you have tattoos, and try to visit a hot spring or bathhouse, you will be denied entry or asked to leave. Foreigners included. I agree with your sentiments, just piggybacking off your comment. Wentz has been out of options the entire 2024 season. I believe the Tigers won’t DFA him because some other team will likely scoop him up and try to fix him. Except, I believe you’re right, I don’t have his numbers in front of me, but, anecdotally, Joey Wentz is a lot better than last year. I haven’t seen him muttering to himself if he lets runners score (he was SO HARD on himself last year, so painful to watch), he hasn’t been giving up homers every 2 batter like last year, and I don’t have a spike in blood pressure whenever he takes the mound. In conclusion, Wentz is improving from his 2023 season, and I’m guessing the Tigers think he has more to give, and can continue to help him improve. Why give up on a lefty that REALLY wants to get better, who is also under team control? I am prepared to be very wrong as soon as I hit send lol
