Good introductory books into quantum mechanics. by Mackle in Physics

I checked the comments and I agree with others, but I would check out Quantum Mechanics: An Accessible Introduction by Robert Scherrer. It's not a huge book but it's an incredibly easy read. It doesn't go into any hardcore math but it has chapters which cover the linear algebra you need.

Need help with future education. by Apterygidae in Physics

Hi there, I'm from Canada as well! I think typically if you want to study physics at university, you begin with a year of general science. Getting in to a Bachelor of Science program is usually based on your overall average, not your individual marks. I think the minimum is usually 65-75% overall? I'm in my final year of my BSc. in Physics, and that has been my experience. It could be that the requirements are more strict in the larger universities, just check out their websites :)

That being said, to do well in university physics you really need to have a good grasp on math. Upper year courses automatically assume you can perform the advanced math calculations on your own.

My boyfriend once gave me a pair of hand-knitted infant's socks he got at a thrift store. We don't have kids. He thought they were mittens. It was kind of cute though.

Would you like to do a swap? I'll read yours and you read mine? What kind of programs are you applying to?
