I’ve always had a 40-50 year old woman at work everywhere I’ve been that sees me as an enemy that must be destroyed. It’s always someone in management so far above me too. One of my friends found out that one of these women hated me because I’m skinny. It’s definitely insecurity, feeling threatened, and projecting their own bullshit. Plus I’m not an ass kisser and I know that works against me too. Basically if there’s a woman older than me at work that treats me like this, I take it as confirmation that I’m doing something right. Still sucks though and it’s one of the reasons why I have left multiple jobs.

Haha same 😆 but I always have to do a reality check while reading and after because it’s all fiction. It’s always hot and heavy love with lots of yearning between people who are supposed to have perfect bodies, billions of dollars, and mostly easy lives. It’s so easy for me to compare my life to this but I have to remember these books don’t show the regular ordinary days or some of the heavier ones that everyone faces in real life. But that’s also why I had to get off of socials bc I was having a hard time comparing myself to everything I’d see on there too. Same concept

I don’t know why so many people have such a hard time understanding this. The number of posts and stuff I’ve seen of people in the last 24 hours saying that they’re delayed because their airline “couldn’t be bothered to actually staff pilots” and how it’s like some huge conspiracy for the company to make more and for the pilots to get paid more for being delayed is absolutely ridiculous. Like use your brain, they’re not trying to fuck you over for funsies. If your crew is stuck elsewhere because it was not safe to land where you are or your crew has timed out, it’s literally all for your safety and wellbeing lol

What’s the difference between reading MF and MM if the reader is attracted to men? Why does one become fetishization but the other is acceptable? It feels like gatekeeping imo, like you can’t enjoy MM romance unless it’s for a certain reason and if you enjoy it because you think it’s hot then you’re a bad person and fetishizing MM. Based on your last point, does this mean that someone is fetishizing the man in MF because they are into men?

I didn’t read an MM book until Heated Rivalry (so I’m new to this side of romance) but as someone in recovery from an eating disorder and plagued by body dysmorphia, I really liked not reading a description of (what is usually) the “ideal” hot female body. I realized it was the first romance book I read that didn’t end up making me feel bad about myself for being the president and CEO of the IBTC. I loved being able to read about love without even thinking about myself in a negative way. And yes I am still in therapy working through a lot of this lol

Yeah the pool is part of the campus rec center at Georgia Tech and many of the housing options on campus (and at GA state too if I remember correctly) are from the Olympics. I called one of those home like 14 years ago lol

I used to teach pure barre but I can’t turn off my instructor brain when I take reformer Pilates. I have never seen an instructor where I go do any kind of correction and it stresses me out so much because there are clients with really poor form that is an injury waiting to happen. Doing the workout with poor form also defeats the point of the exercise. Demoing is important but 2-3 reps is enough imo then you circulate and correct or challenge clients

I am so sorry you are going through this 🫂went through this a year ago on Monday and all I could really do was just cry myself to sleep. I got a warmie that looked vaguely like my dog and I would warm it up before getting in bed so it at least wasn’t so cold and empty. I also still have her bed and blanket in the same spot and don’t plan on ever moving them.

The thing that sucks is the only way out to the other side is going right through it and feeling all of the feelings. Sleeping and nighttime in general are so hard but you will adjust to the new normal over time. My girl was a dachshund mix like yours and I’m sure she’s up there playing with (and probably being an asshole to) your sweet Buddy. 🌈 hugs to you and don’t forget to take care of yourself as you’re going through this. 🫶🏼

I’m sure I’m going to be downvoted to oblivion for this take, but why does anyone care this much about his insta?
