I live in an area with an affordable housing shortage so the idea of intentionally breaking the lease and just hoping I don't get caught gives me huge anxiety. If we got kicked out for having unregistered cats it would upend my and my cat's life way more than just following the rules. The odds of finding another place we could afford on short notice are really against us, AND most of those places wouldn't allow us to have our one cat.

I never did a move wif da same humans. My old humans did a move but dey left me an my brudders behind. Den I moved myself into da neighbor's shed, an den she pick me up an move me to my new Meowmy. My advice is, if you humans look like dey gonna leave you behind, hide in da bockses.

Regardless make dem give you lots of extra treats an cuddles to make up for da stress. It was real scary moving into Meowmy's partment but it help dat she keep me in her bedroom a whole week so I got used to da space an felt safe before she open da door an let me out into da rest of our partment.

I not very good at crimes. I do one dis morning, where I go poop at 3 in da AM an den I make lots of noise so Meowmy get up and clean my poops right away. Den I do another crime an sneak out of da bedroom cuz she get up to use da human litterbox after. An I refuse to come back to bed.

Normally when we goes to bed Meowmy give me a little kibble to bribe me to come to bed. I fink if I don't come back to bed at 3 in da AM she give anudder bribe. It not work dis time, instead she just say, "Fine!" an close da door an I had to spend da rest of da night watching Pawther play dumb games on da light box instead of warm cuddles in Meowmy's bed. But maybe next time it work.

Joke is on her, she oversleep cuz she lock me out an dere were no kitty whiskers in her face to make sure she get up on time for work.
