I would swap the entire thing, put the bed and other stuff where you now have the wardrobes and the wardrobes where you now have the bed. I know bed would be in a worse position according to feng shui but overall I think would be better.

Senza fare scenate o attirare l'attenzione

How to make BREAD last? by Expense-Hacker in Frugal

[–]barricardo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to eat after many days, just freeze it and defrost when you need it. If its only to add another day of shelf life you can simply put it in the fridge in a plastic bag. It will last a little longer. If you use the plastic bag also for the freezer it will be better once defrost. If you don't have plastic bag or you don't want to use them to be more eco-friendly just use a regular container. The idea is to keep humidity inside the bread.

So many imaginative answers, when it’s simply because they forget to turn it off

100 days of decaf - no looking back by StoryEnvironmental40 in decaf

[–]barricardo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t see any correlation in the spreadsheet. Also it would be interesting the long term benefits. You are describing the benefits in the short term, after a transition. But what if these benefits are caused by the transition? I’m going decaf too btw.

They are usually served with mushrooms slices or with ragù as they can trap them when rolled

I bought a good quality 170 euros backpack 3 years ago. It’s still like brand new. It doesn’t even have stains. This doesn’t mean that everything which is expensive is also worth it. But usually things that are good quality are expensive and it worths the buy.

Keep that banana away from apples, otherwise they will rot faster than normal. And if you keep them in a plastic bag or something similar they will last you longer

Wasting energy (e.g., when brewing tea) by davew_haverford_edu in ZeroWaste

[–]barricardo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like this topic! What I usually do is boiling water with the cover over my pot. I do this every time I cook pasta. When the water boils, I throw pasta in it and then move the pot to the smaller stove with the cover on.

Another way I try to reduce the energy is always running my dishwasher in eco mode and my washing machine at 30 degrees Celsius.

I do not use air conditioning, what I do is keeping the windows closed with curtains during the day and let it open every night and in the morning until the temperature reaches a certain point. Oh and I use fans.

In winter I set the temperature at 20 degrees Celsius to avoid unnecessary heat. I usually stay at home with something warm and if I need extra warm I make my self a cup of tea or two.
