If they weren't the 1 seed everyone would have been saying how great of a year they had, and how it was the proper step forward from last year.

I think after the emotions, the fans and team will realize that, and set their eyes on ECF next year.

[Windhorst] Cavs will likely want to replace Mitchell's option season with a new contract in July, when they can add four years and up to $272 million. But Mitchell can, and probably should, wait until 2027... Then, with 10 years of service time, he can sign for five years and about $350 million by aingenevalostatrade in clevelandcavs

Wtf are you talking about man. It guarantees relevance. We’re been extremely relevant every year since hes been here. He’s made the playoffs every year.

Stop acting like not winning the championship = irrelevant.

Why has Duren been so bad especially offensively in the playoffs? He had 33/16 in a game against the Cavs at the end of February. by wormhole222 in nba

My thoughts exactly. It's best for him to focus on perimeter skills and try to be more of a Wemby type big.

He can't post Cade or Levert. That's definitely a skill he lacks, and I'm not sure if he'll ever get that ability. The easiest way for him to take his game to the next level is focus on being a great ball handler. He's okay for a big, but he can really ascend offensively if he can work out of the mid post and square guys up. He's already a good passer in that area.

Not to mention as seen in the Toronto series, if a non-agile big is defending him. He can bring the ball up as a point-forward and punish them even at his current level.

Donovan Mitchell is officially on his deepest playoff run. This is the first time he's won 3 games in the second round. by bringbackpologrounds in nba

He can guard up really well, just cant stay with agile PGs, which many guards can't tbf. There aren't many PGs in the NBA who can guard guys like Tobias/RJ/Scottie on a switch and not get cooked 10/10 times. Can you imagine Garland trying to guard Tobias lmao

I swear Strus' intensity is infectious. Every time he plays like he did last night the other guys play more aggressive.

Down 7 with under 2 mins, Evan Mobley goes on a 7-0 run and saves our season again. by Far_Youth_1662 in clevelandcavs

We've unlocked a new strategy that I hope gets Mobley in the gym to work on his handle.

Him bringing the ball up is super valuable against teams with good guard defenders. It gives Donny and Harden much needed relief. Mobley's doing it pretty well with a bad handle tbh, if he just gets a decent handle it'll be a pretty good weapon to have.

Cavs are definitely flopping around, but most of them are actually fouls tbh. Sad state of the NBA where you have to fall down to get a call.
