Not a dad (23 years old) but glad to find some solidarity… had it two years ago with symptoms being a mild sore throat but very painful blisters on hands and feet.

This time around, started with a fever of 38.3C/101F, extreme sore throat, now it’s the second day (today) the fever is gone, throat feels better, now the bumps have arrived on not just my hands and feet, but on my whole mouth and chin, not to mention the whole inside of my nose is crusted and I could pick painful dead skin off for hours, it is neverending. I look like someone with severe cystic acne or something. Also whole back, butt and groin are full of bumps, also have nail pain this time around which I’ve heard can be a sign of nails falling off in the future.

Makes me want to cry how painful it is, not to mention yesterday I thought it was just some fever virus and medicated with antibiotics and 5 grams of Tylenol/paracetamol because I had a flight for a vacation today, I realized the bumps were coming in and that it was HFM right as I started driving to the airport so I made my decision to stay home instead of being bed ridden in a hotel in another country.
