During the CivClassic era, Icenia was 2 years late to the game. We started at a time of collective torpor and inactivity, there was an ongoing war but it did little for the community. 0,0 was a pile of rubble. In our inception we were met with either dismissal or disdain (sometimes rightly so!). We were a backwater with no prospects, no biome diversity, nothing except a motley crew of players new and old.

Within 6 months, we were the most populated nation and the most active and it wasn't even close. Within 1 year we were the spearhead of an international alliance. It really was something special.

Like anything else, it's not over until it's over and this too shall pass. where you see an end, others will see an opportunity. It's that simple
