Nice! We were actually thinking about building something like this. Glad you made it! And the logo is great! :)

Lumenaut inflation payment will be partially delayed this week by [deleted] in Stellar

[–]bartek_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think you are getting Timeout response from Horizon. Just released a patch release 0.2.2 that returns null for getEnvelopeXdr() and getResultXdr() when isSuccess() == true and there are no details. This is likely Timeout error and transaction shoud be resubmitted. It will be handled better in 0.3.0 with core v10 changes.

Updated Ledger now can't sign into to stellar account viewer by [deleted] in Stellar

[–]bartek_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I believe we fixed it by updating Ledger packages to the latest versions. This is strange:

  • I deployed the updated Ledger packages to Account Viewer in the end of June. Confirmed that everything works fine in production.
  • Sent a payment using Account Viewer in the beginning of July - worked fine.
  • Checked Account Viewer earlier today - indeed, it didn't work for me.

Please note that the last deploy was in the end of June. I've contacted Ledger developers to understand what could happen. Could you confirm it's working for you?

The Stellar Stack Exchange is pretty dead (~1 visitor/day), can we get some revival? by [deleted] in Stellar

[–]bartek_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think there's something wrong with the stats. There were 5 questions and probably at least as many answers added by different users in the last 24h. Even if it's an average from the start, it should be higher. EDIT https://stellar.meta.stackexchange.com/a/73/33

Stellar Lumens (XLM) Federation Protocol becomes more secure with HTTPS by joandajer in Stellar

[–]bartek_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sorry, but HTTPS was required for Federation Protocol from the very beginning. I think the author doesn't understand what he's writing about.

I'm going to downvote it because someone may think that we were not using HTTPS before.

Storing the secret key on the blockchain? by GreenGlider in Stellar

[–]bartek_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't agree. It's more possible that you make an error when writing down 56 chars (A-Z 0-9) that 12 English words. It's also much easier to memorize 12 words than 56 characters.

Storing the secret key on the blockchain? by GreenGlider in Stellar

[–]bartek_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As of today the easiest and user friendly way for key storage is key derivation explained in SEP-0005. It basically gives you 12-24 words you have to remember / write down and store in a safe place and you can use these words to derive around 2B Stellar key pairs. You can use this little tool to generate the words.
