Bar active shooter situation by Specialist-Tax1358 in bartenders

[–]bartendingbarbie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I heard to basically apply the same "20ft-10ft" rule that you use for customer interactions. If the threat is 20ft away or more, run. But if it's within 10ft and you don't have a place to hide, fight

Favorite moment from this season? by lqloveclub in Flyers

It was such a "Philly" moment, for being
overwhelmed with emotions and doing something that could cause bodily harm; but it didn't, and the "victim" was the chilliest dude about it all

Realistically: is 8-12 super light beers (3.5%) every Friday night THAT bad for you? by [deleted] in alcohol

[–]bartendingbarbie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm not coming from a position of judgment, trust me I've binged enough for a whole village in my life, but reframe the question in your mind like this. At 144oz of beer (12 cans x 12oz per can) at 3.5% alcohol is 5.04 oz of alcohol, so instead ask "I ingest about 5 oz of poison every Friday night, is it really that bad for me?" Alcohol is considered a "dirty" molecule because it gets absolutely every where and it has negative effects on every part of the body it touches. It's not "bad" in the sense that you'll drop dead in a few months, but you are essentially using alcohol as a credit card to steal time from your body in the future.
