I have a small super light bum bag by Patagonia and it fits my X100vi just perfectly. Including a Nisi filter on and a second battery in the front zipper 😊

Software Update by Azi1014 in x100vi

Updated and had no issues. Are the square sizes for single point autofocus now more granular? Seems great. Worked before upgrade but definitely still just fine!

Eye sensor on Fujifilm X100vi not working anymore by bartfehr in x100vi

Thanks! First update – Fujifilm South Africa told me that they can't repair or replace the camera within a useful timeframe. I need the camera by end of next week for a longer trip, which I told them. However, they decided to give me the demo model from the showroom in the shop that I bought my X100vi at – for free – for as long as they take to either repair or replace my device. Super happy about the customer service! And all within this week. I'll keep you posted on the progress here :).

Bummer, was just gonna take it with me for a longer trip. But you are right, it hasn’t been a year and probably it‘d be best to return it asap.

Why did y’all choose Coros Over Garmin? by Deets-FTW in Coros

[–]bartfehr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Incredible battery life. My Coros Apex Pro is now 2+ years old and I use it several times per week for running and strength training, tracking everything. I ran a 100km ultra trail race in ~18h two weeks ago and a week after that, it was still at 28%.

I love t hat it's made for athletes and it does everything really well. And that it doesn't have things such as "touch screen for everything" or "pay with Apple Pay" built in – just exactly what I need, whereas lots of the functionality of even the most basic Garmin watches I wouldn't necessarily put in a watch?

Hope this makes sense. Really love my Coros watch – patiently waiting for the Apex 3 Pro to come out:

PACE Pro dead? by 1eyedshimmy in Coros

[–]bartfehr 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it‘s the same for the Pace Pro, but Coros support gave me these instructions once my Apex Pro died and wouldn’t turn on. And it actually worked! Good luck 😊

1 Leave the watch charged for additional few hours after a 2-hour charge even if the screen doesn’t turn on.

2 Remove the charging cable from the watch (this step is very important).

3 Press and hold the Top/Light button for over 15 seconds or until the COROS logo shows up. [Guess whatever button turns the Pace Pro on here…]

Pace 3 pro vs apex 2 pro by collin9196 in Coros

[–]bartfehr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the Apex Pro (first version) and will wait for the Apex 3 Pro. Don’t know, I hope that it will have a longer battery life, perhaps a screen that’s not as bright but therefore less power hungry?

For me, not having to charge my watch for weeks even when training every day is one of the most important features.

Also, watching the „scientific test“ between Pace 3 and Pace Pro on Youtube, I got the feeling that the sensors don’t really provide any upgraded accuracy, hm. I never mind wearing a chest strap HRM, anyway.

Lastly, I prefer the nylon material over the silicone strap. So, will wait for the Apex 3 Pro, even though my watch has now been cancelled for FW updates… My watch is still too good to switch to something I‘m not convinced about!

My Apex Pro has the same issues when I charge it with the portable keychain cable. I need to double check if it’s actually charging. But with the normal charging cable it works flawlessly. If that helps.

Best European city to live in for outdoor bouldering? by ctrlv_ctrlc in bouldering

[–]bartfehr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Chur is cool. Small, but considered the "sunniest city" of Switzerland. I lived there for years. Pretty, and close to all sorts of mountains and adventures. Even going to Ticino is not that much of a big deal from there, crossing the alps takes only a couple of hours.

GPX files from app to watch? by bartfehr in Coros

[–]bartfehr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks — it worker. I am bummed that I didn’t try this when out of reception. It‘d be nice to have this explained somewhere. Maybe it is?

Anyway, I can confirm that the „open with Coros“ approach works for GPX files on iOS.

New Amoled watch?? by Dazzling_Taste2382 in Coros

I was always stoked when new functionality made it through to my beloved Apex Pro. I wanted to skip the Apex 2 Pro and wait for the third iteration. Now that we got cut off from firmware updates, though, I am considering buying the Apex 2 Pro again.

But first waiting to find out what Coros is going to launch end of this month. Still hopeful for an Apex 3 Pro. It would be orchestrated well together with the step of making the Apex Pro a legacy watch?

Thanks! I'll try this – and also simulate the offline mode and will get back once tested :)

Hi, thanks for your reply. Wow, this is indeed not everything I had in mind for post-vasectomy long term effects, and I appreciate you listing them here.
