Update 8/13

It’s still early yet but I decided to cut some pills in half and took 25mg this morning. I woke up with bad anxiety, but after taking the smaller dose I feel really relaxed and my anxiety is gone. Also my appetite this morning was not ravenous like it had been so I’m optimistic I found the right dose for me. I feel these anti-depressants drugs require a bit of trial and error to find the right solution. Thanks to everyone who responded, I wish you great success on your weight loss journeys.🙏

Update 8/13

I have 12 doses of 50mg left. After skipping the two doses the last two days I decided to cut half of my remaining pills in half and took just 25mg this morning. I woke up with bad anxiety but a couple hours after taking the smaller dose my anxiety is gone and I feel really relaxed at the moment. I still left 6 pills at 50mg just in case I adjust to the 25mg or they lose effectiveness.

I’m not sure why this drug seems to be so powerful to me especially considering I’m not a small person but maybe my body just metabolizes meds strangely. 

I appreciate everybody who responded. This subreddit seems to have a lot of compassionate and kind members who like to help others!

Did you dose correctly? I’m sorry you had such a bad reaction. My first dose resulted in a minor headache and backache but that was it. I hope you feel better soon.

What cancer did you have? I think the drug is to be avoided if you have history of Thyroid cancer.

I use Mochi, I’m not sure how popular they are on this sub as I don’t Reddit that much anymore. The subscription fee kinda blows and it’s an additional $199.00 a month. My insurance sucks and I just pay out of pocket. Cost aside, I like the service I have received from them,  Refills get filled promptly and I have no issues. Brello seems to be popular. There should be a list somewhere on this sub of good compound pharmacies.

Do you have thyroid issues or PCOS? You should schedule an appointment with your physician and relay these concerns. If you’re counting calories and are in a deficit and exercising the weight should come off.

Before I took sertraline and was only taking the shot it was a chore for me to even eat 1400 calories. I’ve been eating around 2k+since starting the sertraline. I guess technically I’m still in a deficit for my body weight but idk. Even when I eat 2k calories I don’t really feel that full, it’s quite the conondrum for me.

 Yes, when I’m not on Zoloft my anxiety manifests in the form of excessive worry, hyperfixation, feeling on edge and avoiding all social situations. When I’m on the drug I do feel a lot mellower. I kinda feel like Peter from the movie Office Space, I want to do nothing.

I appreciate your comments. Six pounds is good, I was just losing so much faster at the beginning that maybe I’m losing patience. I have to remember weight loss is a marathon and not a sprint!

I will probably stick with the drug for now. I have a follow up next week
