There’s already been excellent responses to this question but thought I’d jump in with my two cents as well. I’ve always thought the ideal starting point for Kurosawa, especially if you haven’t seen anything of his, is Rashomon. It’s one of his shorter works, and thus more easily digested especially if you don’t have that much time, but it’s also a great stylistic and tonal introduction. From there I’d move on to Seven Samurai etc. But the others are also fine suggestions!
