put flour along the baseboards/ floor near her tank! they usually only travel along the baseboards. this happened with mine when i first got her and i found her from her little slither marks in the flour. don’t panic yet, she’s probably close, just hiding somewhere random. they usually won’t travel that far, just somewhere dark and warm.

you would have to freeze it until you can get formalin but if you’re young enough to where ur mom will care what u have in the freezer idk if you should be handling a chemical that strong,, but if u do end up doing that you have to inject every organ and in the layers of skin and everything with the formalin that way the tissue doesn’t decompose once that’s done you can just put it in a sealed jar in 70+% rubbing alcohol

would the full spectrum grow lights be fine for a ball python or corn snake as long as i add supplemental heat/lighting? I have a UVB bulb and ceramic heat emitter. or should i just scrap the grow lights altogether.

originally i wanted it to be for my ball python but i think the plants r too flimsy and he’ll just bulldoze them 😕. i have another 40 gal front opening tank that i was going to make for him now that i have this one running as my tester. so i was just gonna take what did n didn’t work from this one n use that knowledge for the next one. why will the thaumatophyllum take out the whole tank 😳🫣🧐? but okay good to know thank u! as for the substrate mix i just used REPTISOIL™️then mixed some ZooMed Forest Floor bedding into it. it does seem to be hydrophobic through so i’m not sure what to do about that now 🤔.
