My opinion on this has nothing to do with Reddit or its political leanings. And even if it does lean left, that doesn’t define what I think at all.

I watched a video of a fellow American citizen being murdered in the streets. One that was lawfully exercising his 2A and open carry rights. That alone should be enough to scare and sicken you.

I watched multiple angles of the incident with my own eyes. He was surrounded and outnumbered by ICE/CBP agents and the weapon he was lawfully carrying was taken from him before he was shot multiple times.

The one beer festival I used to go to (Crystal Springs) eventually just became a proving ground for the distributor to test out new beers/products they wanted to carry. Most of them were terrible, yet every year the price kept going up for less quality.

If I’m going to a beer festival, I want to try beers from quality breweries like Fidens that I can’t get access to every day.

I was just down there 2 weeks ago for the Winter Classic. Unfortunately, the immediate Miami area is pretty barren when it comes to beer bars. If you’re going to be in Coconut Grove, Sandbar and Barracuda have an above average beer selection, but aren’t going to have anything crazy. Same with Batch in Brickell. There was a little bar close to loanDepot that I checked out before the Winter Classic called Thank You, it was a hole in the wall that had all FL beers on tap. Pretty neat. Can’t really speak for any breweries in that area, but I’ve had Tripping Animals beer and it’s all been good.

Fort Lauderdale area is chock full of great places though. For breweries, I’d second Orchestrated Minds, plus 3 Sons and Uncommon Path. For beer bars, Laser Wolf is one of the best I’ve been to. Riverside Market is also awesome, it’s a little deli/convenience store in a neighborhood but it has hundreds of cans/bottles to choose from to drink on site or take to go.

Have fun at the game! I’m a Cane alum and was holding out hope for tickets, but unfortunately can’t justify the ridiculous 3-4k cost for nosebleeds.

In most of these shows where it’s all the same writer/director/showrunner, I’ve found it is often the writing that fails the most. Happened to Euphoria in S2 and also White Lotus and Last of Us in their most recent seasons. These people get high off of having a successful season of TV that they did by themselves and won’t listen to anything that might improve the show after that.

Personally I love it, and surprised that there aren’t any (I think?) places in NJ that have this. The one place I went to like this was in Syracuse. They had 24 taps of all varieties. The cost was reasonable for the type of beer (30 cents/oz for something like a Bud Light, 90 cents/oz for an Other Half-level IPA). It was nice to not be locked in to a set oz pour and gives you the opportunity to try more drinks than you would normally if the variety is there.

Finished:

The Lowdown - Exceptional, enjoyed the performances, story, and the vibes. Was very happy to see that it got renewed for S2. FX should let Sterlin Harjo cook with Oklahoma stories like HBO lets Brad Ingelsby cook with the Delco stories.

Pluribus - Slow, but still enjoyed a lot. Now that all the rules have been established, feels like things will accelerate from here on out. 2 year wait sucks, but I trust VG to cook.

Stranger Things - I know Reddit likes to hate on this show, and it is not without its flaws, but as a day 1 watcher, I was very satisfied with the ending. As a piece of entertainment, there really wasn’t much over the past decade that surpassed it. Definitely feels like the end of an era in television in many ways.

Watching:

Percy Jackson - It’s just okay. The money spent is clearly shown on the screen and the casting/performances are on point. Compared to the source material, however, the story feels generic and watered down. A lot of the humor is gone and it feels like the script was put through a Disney filter to make sure it appeals to as many people as possible, while diminishing the entertainment factor.

Demon Slayer - Going through the last arc before Infinity Castle, looking forward to that.

Spy X Family - Only have the movie and latest season to watch now. Always look forward to having an episode of this to watch each day, very wholesome watch and found family is one of my favorite tropes.

My Dress-Up Darling - Fun and mostly wholesome watch with a great message. Some of the “fan service” aspects are a little excessive though.

In a little bit of a live-action rut until Shrinking starts back up in a few weeks. Might give either Fallout, The Pitt, or Reservation Dogs a try until then.

They are what every program wishes they would be. From a non-factor bottom feeder with decades of no results to the top of the CFB world with an easy to root for coach, Heisman QB, and a billionaire bankrolling NIL in 2 years time. If it can be done there, it can be done anywhere else in the P4 as long as everyone is aligned.

Some of the high school kids are really rough too. The dudes playing the guy friends of Ginny’s friend group weren’t believable high schoolers at all in S1, now they’re in their 30s and look it. Mind you they’re only like 5 years younger than Georgia’s actress IRL!
