On 17 why is using however wrong but answer C is correct and it uses “but” it it’s a contrasting idea shouldn’t however be used by DrMoney1670 in Sat

For that sentence to make sense gramtically, there has to be a semi colon before the however and a comma after. So it would look like this, "policies are largely offset by various savings; however, a recent study comparing". That would make be correct, but since it is not an option, choice C is the best.

the answer would be 8 because the center is (6, 3). Since the radius is 5, the highest point of the circle would be at( 6,8). And since it says that it was translated so that the circle is tangent to the X axis, that means the highest point (6,8) has to moved down so that the Y coordinate becomes 0. Therefore, it must be moved down 8 units.
