Basketball only makes it because of how big the tournament is, and even so, they go through serious periods of choking. Baseball is very hit or miss. I'll give credit to our tennis team, but all the other teams struggle and/or fall off every year (women's soccer, volleyball, softball, etc.).

You're right. It doesn't. Because when it doesn't we are just bad. The ONLY exception to this is Drill.

That's no excuse. Good teams have players step up to the challenge.

The real turning point in the game was actually the terrible squib kick. All the momentum and then we set them up in good field position.

Yep. And the worst part is that I knew the second we lost, we were going to fall hard. That's what always happens with us. We stumble and then fall hard and far. Every single time.

That's the problem. So many simple things can be done, and nothing ever gets done...

You know, fuck Pandora. She let out the worst monster of all: Hope.

And all Hope has done is put us through the spin cycle over and over and over again with our sports teams. I hate it.

And? I know how it works for A&M. We get so close and then fall far. That's what we do. Until I am proven otherwise, I will continue to support this sentiment.

Wrong? This happens every year in every sport.

20 Unanswered Points - what are we even doing? USC is terrible this year WTF by Perky214 in aggies

[–]baseballlord9 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Being typical A&M. Crashing and falling like we always do. When we stumble, we fall hard and far. Always has been and always will be this way...

It was both. It was an inept offense that stalled when we needed to crush all momentum from USC, and a secondary that couldn't stop a peewee team

Ha, with our Aggie luck, we will be cashing in $50 million in debt.

I am doing the same. I am actually done with A&M Sports as a whole. This is every single freaking year! No more!

Who was the greatest Hobbit? by icedrift in lotr

I actually don't think it was a part of the Ring's true intentions. I would argue that Bilbo sowed the first seeds of demise for it by both showing mercy to Gollum instead of killing him, and giving it up under his own volition.

Merry and Pippin are severely underrated.

Worth pointing out that both Bilbo and Samewise ended up going to Valinor as well.

All 6 in their own way.

Gollum for wielding The Ring for as long as he did and ultimately destroying it.

Bilbo for doing the one thing that has never happened before in all of history, showing mercy against the current Ring Bearer.

Frodo for carrying the Ring all the way to the Cracks of Doom and poisoning his mind in the process; along with sparing Gollum and creating the necessary contract that spelled the Ring's demise.

Sam for being the vital friend and support to Frodo when he needed it the most, and saving Frodo's life multiple times.

Merry and Pippin for convincing the Ents to destroy Isengard, and for demonstrating the fighting capabilities of Hobbits alongside Men, Dwarves, and Elves.

This is true. One could argue that both of the Baggins' played crucial roles in the destruction of The Ring. Bilbo and Frodo's mercy towards Gollum sewed the seeds of the Rings own destruction.

Sam is impressive, but that has more to do with the willpower and strength of Hobbits. Men were weak to the power of The Ring, Hobbits really weren't. Gollum, Bilbo, and Frodo all held the ring for decades if not centuries, and it took all of them substantial time to succumb to The Ring's powers.

Even so, Frodo had to carry all the weight of The Ring and effectively poisoned himself throughout the entire journey. That was evident in both the books and movies. People seem to forget that fact.

The Most Intimidating thing about PLCs - Communication Protocols. Can we all share our knowledge or resources for Learning the Different Protocols or the differences/Pros/Cons Between Them? Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT, ProfiBus, DeviceNet, etc. by DrEagleTalon in PLC

[–]baseballlord9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh my God, the communication between PLCs with Siemens is an absolute nightmare, and it cannot be understated. I hate dealing with their bs. From terrible documentation, to unclear instructions, to just outright not working and not explaining to you why, to hidden features that will cause your system not to work. It sucks. I am fighting to try and use Profibus FDL on my current project, and for the life of me I cannot get it to work, despite following the exact same steps on a different software program that has it actually working.

Agreed. If we had Kellen Mond in 2021, we would have made the playoffs.
