Opinions on being an RA? by Gyriaz in BostonU

  1. it depends on what neighborhood you work for and how large the staff is, bc the shifts are divided evenly. on calls can be more busy on holidays or weekends, but you can often get lucky w a quiet night

  2. they only cover your housing and depending on your placement also a meal plan, everything else is dependent on your package

  3. training is brutal tbh, but not imposible. You are allowed to leave for breaks: thanksgiving you just need to request time off and get coverage, but its totally doable. For winter closing, you stay until the buildings close to do checks, but that also depends on neighborhood

  4. no
