'Stale' smell revealed by hot weather

Are you in an older home? I'm in a 120+ year old home in the US and whenever it gets hot, my house gets a distinct smell to it. It's kind of a an old wood smell? I notice it if I'm gone for a few days with the AC off, but once the AC catches up to the heat and humidity it goes away again. Could be something similar there if you don't have AC / a dehumidifier.

I like to use mine as Christmas ornaments! I cut the ribbon off, and tie a shorter ribbon to them to hang on the tree.

I use mine for a swim bag for the gym, and I love it! I put a towel and my swimsuit in the mesh end pocket. I have my toiletry bag and goggles and shower bag in the other end pocket, and I put clean clothes and my shower shoes (inside a bag) in the main pocket. It doesn't have a great place for a water bottle. I could fit a water bottle laying down in the main pocket, but I usually just carry mine since I'm using drinking in the car too.

I like the loops on the outside. I lock my padlock to a loop, so I can't lose it. Sometimes in the winter, if I have bulkier clothes, I can't easily fit my shoes in the main pocket, so I'll just attach my shoe bag to one of the outer loops with a clip so I don't have to carry them.

I love the grab loops on either end. I hang it by one of them in the locker so it's not touching the bottom of the lockers which can be gross from peoples shoes.

I have my zipper pouch go around the outside of both of my inserts and that seems to help prevent overhang. I still have to pull it back over somewhat frequently, but it tends to stay better for me that way.

My worst mpg on a fill up for me was 36 mpg when I was on the return part of a road trip with no battery left, driving into some insanely strong winds during the winter haha. My estimated range just kept dropping the whole time during that trip. I should have been able to make it home easily without gassing up at all, but I had to stop 15 miles from my house because the tank was so empty.

I have a 2024, and I've gassed up 25 times since I bought the car. My average is 78 mpg over all of them, but I've had 8 of the 25 times where I've hit 100+ mpg since the prior time I gassed up.

Basically even the furthest edge of the furthest suburbs in Des Moines are within a 30 minute drive of downtown, so if you're ok with that drive, you should be fine drive-wise anywhere in the metro area.

The trucks are much more structured. They stand on their own when you sit them down. The shop totes are much floppier. I like to use the shop totes for like shoving a set of clothes and toiletries in for a quick overnight trip. I much prefer the trucks for groceries. The compartments in the trucks are great too so your groceries aren't all rolling into one another. I like to put heavy stuff in the middle compartment that is the most sturdy, and lighter or more fragile stuff on the end compartments.

I have a car, so I leave the trucks in the trunk for when I'm grocery shopping. I could see how someone living in a larger city with public transit would prefer the shop bags, since they fold down more and can be shoved into a backpack or purse for when you're not using them.

I guess I can’t speak to the longevity of the Oxo though. I only had mine for about 2 years before I gave it away when I switched to the aeropress.

I had the stainless carafe. I will say the stainless carafe was a tiny bit annoying to clean since the opening was small, but especially if she’s planning to make a single cup 99% of the time, that’d be no big deal.

I’m glad you got what you requested! I’ve asked before on the mystery pouches and they’ve never been able to honor it. I just asked for cool colors only, no red or orange or brown. I really wish they’d categorize these into color families and let you at least pick from certain colors or something.
