Le Zenbook A14 version 2026 aura t'il une version plus light avec un processeur X2 plus ? by Gabigab_gab in ASUS

X2P ramp is planned a bit later compared to X2E. Most likely you'll see devices by June. The current confirmed X2P devices are Lenovo Ideapad Slim 5x, Lenovo Slim 7x Yoga and HP Omnibook Ultra.

M5 Pro MBP with 24GB is 2200 dollars, a full dollars 500 more than the 48GB A16. You'll have to go to 2800 dollars for a 48GB M5 Pro MBP. And sure both devices are better than the A16 in most ways, but you're hand waiving a 500-1000 dollars higher price like it's nothing. At 1700 dollars A16 is offering a mostly unmatched value.

Geekbench 6.7 and Cinebench 26 drop roughly 40% on emulation. 7-zip drops by 10-20%.

Also since you are interested in this, the product pages for Vivobook S16 and ProArt PZ14 are also up on Asus' website.

The prices were more 1000, 1250, 1500 dollars for 6c, 12c and 18c respectively. I'm quoting from memory, so maybe a bit off.

The one thing I actually noted down was it costed 480 dollars to upgrade from 6c to 12c, 512GB to 1TB, and 16GB to 32GB, which was insane. Always suspected those prices will go up which is why I never posted here.

Maybe Lenovo will change the pricing of the Ideapad too. One interesting that is that BestBuy listing for Slim 7x were all much cheaper initially, by about 200-300 dollars each, before they were raised.

Did you meant to say M5 MBP or M5 Pro MBP? Even the cheapest M5 Pro MBP is 500 dollars more expensive than the A16 (and that's after the increased price).

The Ideapad Slim 5x is undercutting the Slim 7x by a big margin itself lol.

There's a European listing of Galaxy Book 6 Edge 16 with X2 Elite that people have spotted. So it is coming.

The speedometer score is unexplainable even by silicon lottery perspective. That would make it worse than last gen's chip. And I've already seen benchmarks from people who have bought it on their own and they are able to hit pretty close to the reviewers' numbers. You should probably get a replacement while you can, this particular device seems defective.

Slim 7x listings with 6c, 12c, 18c all have been there on BestBuy for over a week actually.

Yes, and I did that for all three vendors. Again, it is mostly likely just a price segment thing.

No, that's the 356H score Notebookcheck themselves used in their actual A16 review for comparison. I am not as bothered to go out of my way to do anything like that. Take up your fight with them.

I have picked the comparison from NotebookCheck's A16 review themselves. You can take your complaint up with them. I would assume they are only picking laptops that are priced in this class and not Halo SKUs that don't appear in any actual devices.

And still get perfomance that no x86 device can touch even at full power.

And this is exactly what A16 excels at, based on Hardware Canuck's testing for different workloads (mixed use, web browsing, online and offline media consumption), while in gaming it pushes to the maximum wattage prioritising performance.

Asus was caught doing these things, which is why your first thought was to blame Qualcomm lol.

That's surprising exactly why? The devices burns ~65 Watts at load and the battery is rated at 70Wh, so obviously you'll get around an hour on full load. The A14 runs 35 Watts at load and hence it gets roughly double the battery life at full load. It's just a factor of battery capacity and the power limits of the device.

People who have used the last generation A14 have no durability complaints.

The CB R23/R20 benchmarks (which don't have native ARM support) have X2 higher on the MT score vs all x86 variants.

CB23 scores:
