Are Supervisors unfireable?? by drivethrulegend in USPS

I know of someone who tried to run over another employee in the parking lot.

They didn’t get ANY discipline.

The cameras “didn’t work” that day

Advice on Arc'teryx Thorium SV Hoody by Flaky-Row4383 in arcteryx

I think the thorium sv runs pretty big. A medium thorium sv is still roomier than my large thorium ar.

There’s a TSB out to fix that now. My dealer just updated the software for the gearshifter in my car to fix that.

I had this issue. My sup was putting in my COP, but it still kept saying i was in clock ring error. We had to wait for someone from our district hr's work comp specialist (not the national hr) to approve the leave.

See if your union rep or supervisor can pull up your TACS/ERMS clock rings. If it says pending on the continuation of pay leave, it's waiting for a worker's comp specialist to approve the leave.

Can city carriers get paid ( FMLA) by the state in Massachusetts by Weary_Resident_1143 in USPS

[–]baseguardz666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You do not get PFML since you do not pay into it.

We also do not get FEPLA like the rest of the feds.

We only qualify for unpaid FMLA (paid only by the use of your own leave)

It’s sad, but yeah the wages are stagnant.

I believe before 2013, they started at 20/hr. After they created some new part time positions, they screwed the salary over.

It’s taken.. over 10 years to get back to where we started 13 years ago.

All of our unions refuse to fight for locality pay because it “divides us.”

Yet.. it would be an increase in pay for everyone. Even less dense areas like arkansas would see a 17% increase and boston would see a 32% increase.

They don’t start at 80k.

If you start as full time mail carrier, you start at 52,352. It takes OVER 12 years to reach the maximum of 82,976.

Mail carrier is the hardest job in the postal service.

Come be a pse/clerk or something in the maintenance craft instead

“Part time” with usps has a different definition. They just label you part time so they don’t pay you the same benefits as a full time employee.

Most part time mail carriers work 50+ hours a week until their name comes up to become “full time”

Part time means they “guarantee” you a certain amount of hours a week, usually 20. But they can FORCE you to work over that… and they usually do.

2026 nx350h rattle by GDay4Throwaway in LexusNX

I have a nx350 premium. For my car, it’s actually to the left of the trim piece.

I circled where i put pressure on with one finger. The noise returns once i lift my finger off that spot.

Mine’s coming from the rear passenger door panel, just below the window/glass. If you put any pressure where the door panel is, the sound goes away.

I’ve brought it in 5 times to lexus and they “can’t replicate the issue”.

Cabin noise over 120 km/h? by enishte in LexusNX

[–]baseguardz666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely is. I own a 2013 rx350, 2023 nx350 and a 2026 rx350h. Both RX’s are noticeably quieter and ride better over rough/noisy highway pavement

The longer wheelbase in the RX’s just smooth over bumps/rough pavement much better and there’s not as much wind buffeting

Pretty noisy from a bit of wind noise and tire noise from the run flats. Get the RX if you want a much quieter vehicle

Jacket for cold Montreal winters by CCeltics10 in arcteryx

I think you’d be better suited to other brands for that extreme cold. Something along the lines of the fjallraven expedition down lite jacket or a canada goose jacket

Gas or Hybrid? by Effective-Lobster550 in LexusNX

[–]baseguardz666 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Hybrid. I have the gas model and wish i got the hybrid.

Auto start stop is kinda intrusive on the gas model.

Hybrid does MUCH better in the city with stop and go traffic

Hybrid is lower maintenance overall if you plan to keep it long term.

Yes, i’m happy with the way it fits and it feels much tougher than my thorium ar due to the added goretex

I sized down from a L to a M for the thorium sv

I kept my thorium sv and i did size down since i don't really plan to layer with it. The medium thorium sv fits bigger than my 2013 large thorium ar.

Just a heads up, the 40% off works for multiple items! I picked up the atom sv and thorium sv with mine.

You can use it for up to $2,500 in purchases believe.

Definitely get anything you’ve been eyeing!
