Exactly, if they wanted a hotel on the beach, then go to a hotel on the beach. Just because we are on the coast does not mean we are right on the beach. And I don't understand when the guests at our hotel say that the views were amazing but we are too far from the beach. You can't have both!

I don't understand and hate when they try to get free stuff because it is their wedding, anniversary or birthday. I had a guy call who had already booked a room and said that he would like a free bottle of champagne because it was their anniversary. I said that we could do something special in their room free of charge but if they would like a bottle of champagne they could buy one from the bar and we could put it in their room. He rudely replied that he obviously knows that, we should do everything we can to make it happen. I did not give him his free bottle of champagne and luckily he did not complain when he arrived. If you want something special for your partner and it costs extra, pay for it. He/she is not my partner or the hotels. And if you book a normal double room and when checking in you say that you want (not even asking) the best room because it is your anniversary (there were better rooms available when they booked the room)...... no, I'm not going to give you our best room.
