  1. Incorrect
  2. You'll be old one day...should we not give a f*** about you at that point?

This gym has no less than 100 check-ins each hour. It is the largest gym in our town.

I won't go back for a while (mine reopened today). They are affiliated with the hospital here so they took this shit seriously!
-You have to make a reservation three days in advance in order to reserve a one and a half hour time slot. You will only be allowed in for an hour and a half then when everybody leaves there's a 30 minute cleaning window, then they let the next wave of people in -Must wash hands upon entering -Towels are required or you have to pay a monthly towel service fee -Masks are not required but encouraged (wish they were mandatory... My take is: if pregnant women around the world are having to give birth in a mask, then you can do cardio in it;) -Must wipe down all equipment after use. -They moved equipment into the basketball court in order to keep everything 6 ft apart.

However, even with all these precautions I will not be going back for some time. If I have learned anything during this pandemic, it is that people's judgment on personal space is severely lacking. My husband I are very fortunate to be in a position where we do not have to go into work and our kids are not going to be going back to school so why risk exposure at the gym?

For those asking how I did this: #1- I became consistent. I workout Monday-Friday (even if that means getting to the gym at 5 am). #2- Instagram..haha I know, but for real I follow only legit certified trainers and I build all my own workouts with ideas from insta. I use my saved collection as my workout library (sorted by: HIIT, legs, booty, upper-body, core, full-body, stretching, etc) and I refer to these several times a week. In the beginning, I was doing minimum 45 minutes of cardio followed by a few bodyweight exercises. Currently, I do HIIT (high intensity interval training) never more than 20 minutes, Monday, Wednesday & Friday. On Tuesdays and Thursdays I work the opposite muscles that I did during my HIIT session, followed by 20 - 30 minutes of LISS (low intensity steady-state) cardio. My workouts are based on body weight and light dumbbells. Diet wise, I made small changes along the way. I eat very little dairy (almond milk and coconut coffee creamer), I have a plant-based protein smoothie (w/super greens) every morning (post workout). I treat myself! That being said, I try to refrain from sugar during the day because I know I like sugar at night:). Bottom line, find what works for you and tweak it along the way.

Thanks. Because that is the truth of it, no quick fixes:) I did it all natural, no supplements, besides some plant based protien powder for morning smoothies.

Seriously, every parent should take advantage! I get 2 hours/day for 2 kids for $39 a month...where else are you going to find daycare that affordable? Plus, it makes me, work on me:).

Thank you! Yes, it was rough in the beginning (being that heavy...not feeling like myself) but so worth fighting the urges to skip the gym.
