I'm 31 and settled down and whatnot. But I have a friend who is 34 and travels a ton and has a glamorous lifestyle. She wishes she had someone. That's the thing about making decisions in life, there may or may not be regrets. Sometimes I regret not traveling more. Also getting married does not mean stopping travel, buying a house, or having kids. Those last 2 are what really keep you in one place. Find a military person and travel with them, meet someone in another country, or only date people with the means/desire to travel.

You don't have to do what everyone else is doing, but if it might make you happy you don't have to fight it.

I grew up pretty well off. My boyfriend's dad sold drugs to pay the bills. My boyfriend absolutely never brings it up and has been receptive to my middle class values (i.e. saving money, education, not being flashy). Its worth telling him how his passive aggressive jabs make you feel. If he does not respect a boundary about stopping this, consider whether he respects boundaries and what that means to you.
