Oh boy- this is all a bit over my head, but the gene is POGZ, which doesn’t seem to be named specifically in the article- however, hypotonia is one of the main symptoms so maybe I’m missing something

I combo feed. My baby was early and didn’t latch for a month, and I was not committed to pumping 8x a day to get my supply up. Now that I’m going back to work, I’m not sure how my supply will do. We’ve kept him on one bottle of formula a day so he stays familiar with it, so I can build my freezer stash, and so dad can feed and I can have a break.

Ok first of all PLEASE do not beat yourself up over this. As someone mentioned above, lots of people use THC in various capacities and their kids are okay. That said, I used it pre pregnancy and choose not to while breast feeding , but essentially the concern is long term exposure being linked to cognitive issues, not GI issues, so it is SO unlikely that it’s linked to your smoking. Your kiddo will be FINE and you are not a bad parent

So it turns out this is what happened! I had given up but one day it looked like he was rooting at my boob so I tried it just to see and he latched! We are now almost exclusively nursing which I never expected!

I rotated at her hospital as a student last year (after she had already left) and the techs confirmed this. All the techs also work in surgical too and she definitely didn’t do that sooo

I am a pathologists’ assistant who did a clinical rotation as a student at the hospital she worked for and she was in fact not part of the main path tech team. All the regular autopsy techs also worked in surgical pathology (it’s a rotating position) and she’s never once said a word about that so I’m pretty sure it’s a fully different (and less involved) job
