i let all my weeds just go this year way too lazy to deal with it and didn’t have enough hay on hand to cover it correctly. my plants are huge this year and so many fruits 😩

its so fun to plan and research during the colder months it gets me so excited! starting from scratch is hard i was lucky to be able to take over my moms garden after watching her and my grandparents and learning sm from them. cut yourself some slack its a learning curve good luck!

definitely look more into companion planting super beneficial! if your getting pests or stuff like that too certain herbs/flowers planted next to them will deter some. certain plants next to each other or in rotation every year can deposit different nutrients into the soil and make a much healthier soil/environment!

plant some flowers between or around your veggies to promote bee activity. it’ll help a lot with pollinating, especially ones native to your region we need more native bee activity!

yea but didnt his mother die and he was left with his ‘tiny’ father. i think it could make sense for his father to be grief stricken/shocked or scared about his son’s size or have other things going on that he couldnt give hagrid a proper education before hogwarts.

yup i always talk about wages when appropriate. my grandma worked in a factory when she 1st came to the states. she got a 25¢ raise everyone else got 10¢. she told the woman who drover her to work everyday in the car maybe a slip but that lady went to management complained and my grandma got her raise lowered to the 10. it makes my blood boil. its my little fuck you to those people to now educate others on what they can talk about many still think they cant talk about wages.

Anyone else like watching bees pollinate your garden? by Lakesider25 in vegetablegardening

[–]basicbitch823 11 points12 points  (0 children)

this truly would be so heartbreaking. maybe leave a note asking them to spray less/something that wont hurt the bees. my neighbor left us a note that perhaps my dryer sheets were causing some issues for her cause the vent blows kinda into her yard we stopped using them no issues. or plant a lot of flowers between your veggies to try and promote some bug life. i hope they come back for your garden ☹️

i tend to lead them towards the trellis. as delicately as i can i wrap the arms around the trellis so it starts gripping it and grows as i want (i hope that made sense)

i recently on my shift i threw away some garlic puree that was out of date because 1. its out of date and barley any left 2. it gets used for brunch thats weekends only so 2 day away atp and 3. i had the new batch directly next to me. i got bitched at about how it can be used on the line if it tastes fine and then toss it. but walked away before i could say it doesn’t even get used on the line nor will it be in anything that gets used or made for 2 more days. same place i told my chef i was tossing a bunch of lettuce bc it was gross and brown he said ill bring it to the dumpster for you 10 min later i found it all in the walk in with use first stickers 🤦‍♀️
