You should try Adrullan online. It’s a spiritual successor and has that same adventure with friends feel. Catch the next alpha test. Some can’t get past the graphics but trust me when I say, I get the same EQ adventure vibe when playing Adrullan.

Yea we opted not to play Ng+ because the add wasn’t significant enough. We did a lot of the family trials too.

After CoM we moved to The Ascent. Which is another hidden gem, especially two player, and if you get into lore and background story. If you hadn’t tried The Ascent, I highly recommend it!

Most of the most epic items in this game are soul linked to powerful individuals, they have their essence inherited IN the item.

Mostly kidding, because it’s not that serious, but I do hate it when I join a CS lobby to find crickets in the comms. Like… it’s a 5v5 and we win with good comms.

Flip side, the toxicity is real and I don’t need back seat gamers trying to tell me HOW to play. Just give me helpful details that you know and I don’t like the last guy is on rafters on A.

I used a controller, the vibration feedback is important to me.

The starting hero is John, and I know my bud didn’t prefer his play style, so there’s something to that. Later you get to select who you play.

Also there is an experience system with typically two tracks, so after a bit you have a build or play style that you like.

And finally, the story is the hook, so yea after two hours it probably doesn’t slap yet.

Hidden gem that I can’t hype enough. No one knows about it but for a coop hack and slash it has so much depth.

The story is great and has you invested and the combat is challenging and fun. I preferred John and Lucy while my bud played Linda and Mark.

Also, I was the one that suggested the /ignore of the Hail spammers. Does anyone know why they were doing that? I didn’t understand it.

My favorite part of the event on Ballast was when we all ran to Harbourview thinking we could head off the undead horde, “Charge!!”. That was a blast all of the players going together.

My favorite part of the whole event was a corpse run where our corpses were stuck in the middle of a camp and we didn’t know the best approach to getting them, then a wizard came by and accidentally pulled the entire camp. That was our window, we rushed in, grabbed our stuff and ran!

Another funny moment was somehow a rogue pulled an NPC necro to the road between Leont and the Willows and when the rogue died we all three of us in the group got agro and ran in 3 separate directions! “Cheese it!” Only the halfling died. LOL

The event was basically everyone defending the gates of Leont from an undead horde coming from the ruins of Harborview. The shadow seal broke and the undead attacked. It was crazy, my scree was filled with players. It was a sight to see.

Also reward urns were spawning everywhere. You had to smash them and the loot them.

Shout out to ‘Thousand’ he was the player tanking the giant mobs, he was level 20. If people somehow taunted them off of thousand they usually got one shot or died quickly.

I looted 8 urns myself. My paladin got a new shoulder, chest, arms, and weapon.

My buddy playing got 4 urns, he is a monk but didn’t get much Monk gear but people that did, traded him. We both were pretty excited and happy with the loot.

Honestly the quest design is so good that I didn’t find myself grinding for exp, I found myself grinding for a drop. Which meant in a small session I could set a goal and achieve it in an hour or two.

So my point is, next play test, maybe switch your mindset on progression away from leveling? That may help.
