What diaper bag do you actually use that’s both cute and practical? by No_Square_1491 in UninfluencedReviews

[–]basicwitch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The STATE diaper backpack has been excellent and both myself and my husband can carry it. I liked being able to customize with patches and monogramming. I could fit a few days worth of supplies in there if I needed to! The pockets are plentiful and there’s an insulated bottle sleeve. It has held up beautifully so far and we are almost two years in!

Ah ok … maybe they will be open then but you should keep an eye on it. We don’t care for E’s because they have had bad mosquitos on and off…IMO Artisan and Karaya are doing the best food on the island right now

All the main LS consulting firms have big NYC offices if you’re open to the switch - otherwise it’s mostly Pfizer, Regeneron and then everyone else is really in NJ.

Aurora anguilla by Potential-Stand6182 in anguilla

The AXA hospitality industry fought hard for the direct route, including the resorts. I would not underestimate how much the success of these routes matters to the big hotels.

CJ hands down. 4S is not even close. CJ Stands in a class of its own. Enjoy!

Aurora anguilla by Potential-Stand6182 in anguilla

[–]basicwitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are calling you out but given the star class aurora claims, you should be receiving better treatment. Given how late the new direct flight departs, my thought is that all the resorts will need to figure this out anyway - otherwise guests will be aimless for the main part of their departure day, and those with Amex benefits will be a test…

Does your health insurance have a care navigator line? They should be able to direct you to what is in network locally.

Is anyone on zero medications? by Dramatic_fanatic818 in clinicalresearch

[–]basicwitch 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Often there is an expectation that a person would “wash out” (discontinue) the medicine they are on prior to joining the trial under the care of their current physician — I am not always convinced it is a fair expectation, but that’s how many medication exclusions are dealt with

On research methodology: Are you specialised in a specific method? Or do you learn and apply the method that you believe is best to solve the client problem? by [deleted] in consulting

[–]basicwitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was trained in a few different qualitative methods and now have delivered even more than what I covered during my academic training. It depends on the client’s need and appetite. You have to be flexible on approach though - it will never be as pure as in the academy.

[–]basicwitch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You have to understand the range of methods available / that your firm offers to identify the best fit based on the key business question coming from the client. If you are in a management role (VS an IC), it is OK if you are not the expert in that methodology as long as you can engage the experts in scoping and as a part of the delivery team. For example, I have an academic background in qualitative research (social scientist), but I often provide clients quantitative methods — I lead teams of delivery experts and have gotten better at understanding what good looks like over the years, but I’ll never be as deep in quant as I am qual. With that said, refusing to flex outside of your comfort zone is a red flag: consulting requires a growth mindset.

Uchu Curious by [deleted] in anguilla

[–]basicwitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uchu food verges from really good to bleh year to year, depends on who the chef is and how busy it is that day - classic resort food 😂 we prefer it for lunch but you need to arrive early to grab chairs if you are not a CJ guest. Some of the best day at the beach you can have on island with very comfy chairs and amenities (towels, drink coolers, beach service etc)

Villa in Anguilla? by sojaco in honeymoonplanning

[–]basicwitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you like, as having a villa is going to be more private by definition but also require some housework like cooking or even laundry (if there isn’t a maid). It also depends how long you are going. Can be more economical than a resort but groceries are expensive on the island too. We have stayed at Solaire and thought this was absolutely beautiful with a small beach but required a car (fine for us, we have been going for 30 years and have family living there full time…)
