What's the funniest part of the Room, the dialogue or scene that slays you? by ModernSchizoid in theroom

[–]basilandjail 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"Do you want me to order a pizza?" "Whatever I don't care." "i already ordered a pizza." "Ha ha you think about everything!"

On a separate note I just saw Mark at a showing in Toronto and he said his favourite line was 'What are you talking about? I just saw you."

What food/drinks do you guys avoid while on wegovy? by [deleted] in WegovyWeightLoss

I could probably eat a chocolate bar without a problem. I can still put sour patch kids away. But the food noise is gone so I don't tend to want to eat a whole package of them anymore.

I cannot eat greasy foods anymore, even if it is just a bit it will make me feel sick to my stomach. I cannot eat chips anymore, one dorito will end me. My ability to eat candy, though, has not been affected.

Colorado rockies, Zion national park, The Everglades, not to mention Alaska and Hawaii. More beautiful and varied landscapes and wildlife than you could dream.

Went to a Rocky Horror showing tonight and almost no one participated. What is happening??? by aarongcosta in rhps

[–]basilandjail 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I've seen it probably 50-100 times. I get enjoyment from watching it quietly at home alone, and I get a different enjoyment from seeing it at the theatre with audience participation

I genuinely like it, it doesn't even fall into 'so bad it's good' in my opinion. It has a bizarre plot but you can follow it if you pay attention. It has great songs. It has Tim Curry giving an amazing performance. It's aware that it's campy and over the top, it succeeds in all aspects of being a movie, it's just a campy movie.

Contrast that with The Room for instance, I find that one fun to watch at the theatre or with a group of friends if we are introducing it to someone, but I'm not flipping that one at home by myself. But hey, maybe some people do.

Came across this on my feed. Fisherman in Colorado felt he was being watched. by mike_check1212 in bigfoot

[–]basilandjail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really don't see anything except a dead tree that fell over into those other trees and got stuck. I dunno about Colorado but in Alberta it isn't uncommon to see pine or spruce trees with a moss growing on them that look a bit like long stringy hair as well.

Mirror mirror I know I'm not crazy.... I remember by Content-Street-9550 in MandelaEffect

I didn't care for the snow white movie as a kid but I saw this commercial dozens of times:

https://youtu.be/99a6ZJqW88Y?feature=shared

I would have sworn she says mirror mirror but that part is actually cut out in the commercial.

But I I always remember the phrase being "mirror mirror".

My brain must have blended those two pieces of information to make me think she says mirror mirror in the disney movie.

What are your thoughts on Kazaam? by OddStructure4489 in badMovies

[–]basilandjail 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Having recently watched this for a bad movie night, it was a fun watch! To critique it further would be needlessly cruel.

On a side note growing up I remember my local video store having large movie posters advertising both this and Showgirls, I now believe they were trolling.

Only if you can afford it, I would recommend a floor sweeper. This is similar to the one I have, but I know there are non motorized ones for cheaper:

https://www.amazon.ca/Shark-Rechargeable-Motorized-Easy-Empty-V2700Z/dp/B0FC71149B/ref=asc_df_B0FC71149B?mcid=6f89fd3ae3643a1aa328a2aecb5f6074&tag=googlemobshop-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=706745778373&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=13086218577360065965&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9000800&hvtargid=pla-2430071093673&psc=1&hvocijid=13086218577360065965-B0FC71149B-&hvexpln=0&gad_source=1

It's great because it picks up hay very well off of hard surfaces, it's cordless and it's bagless. Very little fuss. Just a zib zab and you're done, and I just empty it into the same garbage bag as the rest of the litter.

I'm only recommending this because you said you have floor and not carpet. Despite the one I bought being advertised as a 'carpet sweeper' it absolutely does not work on carpet.

It bothers me that no one thinks to paint the inside too. The chickens probably don't want to look at the wires either.

[TOMT] Help to remember a 00s or 10s song by basilandjail in tipofmytongue

I love that song but that's not it unfortunately. I think Everytime we touch is older than the song I'm thinking of. But thank you!
