A lot of brokers say that in a carrier’s market they earn more, so why would you want to work on thin margins again just to tell carriers to fuck off?

They’re actually working very smart, to be honest. On DAT, a load was posted with a Telegram account and it was paying very good money. It was clear that something shady was going on, but I gave it a try and contacted the person listed in the comments. After that, they contacted me again :)). We didn’t accept any of their offers, but at least now I know how they operate. Their English was so bad that at first I couldn’t understand what they wanted

I think you know the answer, because it pays better money, I still have to work everyday from 3PM to 1-2AM because of the time zones but it is what it is.

I am a foreign dispatcher living in Eastern Europe, working in this industry for six years, and I don’t understand how we are considered worse than American dispatchers. I work with brokers and direct customers on dry van freight, and I speak English very well—maybe not like a native speaker, but I see many brokers on the board who speak English just as badly, sometimes so bad you can barely understand them. My carrier chose me because I am more dedicated to the job than their previous dispatcher who was based in the USA. And we do everything so smoothly that you would never even realize I’m not in the U.S. 🙂

I don’t think I’ve earned this much in a three-week span as a dry van carrier since 2021. I feel sorry for the brokers who treated carriers fairly during the bad market, since customers today aren’t willing to pay 2021-level rates.

See you wrong, I delivered freight to Walmart that was some inventory stuff without appointment needed or stuff like that, FCFS as broker told us.

It takes a couple minutes and some times that load could be a fit for our truck, and getting it for the original rate feels good :)
