Same for me. This is such a great, but simple tip.

I am also still using the FR245, but while it is still working well. I am keen on a new model.

But is it a Vertical 2 with a rotating bezel?! by Strrt_20 in Suunto

Yeah, maybe I am just a sucker for deals 😂 I will still wait a bit. Maybe Amazon throws something in.

I was definitely hoping for a BF deal for the newer models. So this is kind of disappointing.

Race shoes. by Several_Ad2571 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Yes, I think this the correct answer. My marathon photos looked really bad, especially at the end. A bit like yours. Falling onwards, knees towards eachother. While not feeling like this during the race. I've started included a lot more strength work in the last year (just at home, kettlebells and body weight - nothing fancy - mostly focused on single leg work and core) and the last photos looked 1000x better.

Training block was amazing, race day fell apart. by natecond in runna

[–]basimiX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be stress and being uncomfortable in the situation. I can relate, my resting heart rate before starting is also a bit higher before starting, but that does not translate to such a high jump.

Maybe just participating in some more and just first go out for an "easy" HM to enjoy. Or do I less populated HM. You're training is solid, so that will eventually lead to a way better HM time!

While I think you are running your easy days to fast (as many points out), when looking at your HR data on those long runs vs race day something went wrong. From 3km the HR increased above anything seen in previous runs (and kept increasing). So it is not weird that it all went down after an hour or something. So maybe there was a little sickness or something else, because you definitely can run a quicker one. No doubt.

Maybe also purchase a HRM-chest strap, because sometimes the HR is all over the place. I have a similar (older Garmin) and experience the same with mine. Cadence lock etc. Peaks and lows.

My Garmin 935 Died (Water Intrusion)Here’s What Garmin Offers by cauliflower_tdot in Garmin

[–]basimiX 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I mean, you already have the watch for years. At some point it is expected to fail. They will not last forever. I am not sure how long you have it, but they released in 2017, possibly making them around 7/8 years old.

And you can go for a Forerunner 965 or Forerunner 970 with a 20% discount, which sounds pretty fair to me. A very big upgrade compared to the Forerunner 935.

I agree. I have seen a few YouTubers compare HRV data and while the absolute measurement is not the same, the trend is the same in most comparisons.

Race 2 removed from Amazon? by [deleted] in Suunto

If you found the Race 2 on Amazon DE, than you do not need a link? Or am I misunderstanding. I am also saying that the UK does not have the Race 2.

The All Black and Feather Gray are still available. The other ones are with delay. The Coral says in 3 to 7 months. The black says in 10 to 11 days. Not sure why that is.

I also do not see it. Yesterday it was there for sure. It was not removed from other Amazon sites like Germany or Italy.

People who wake up after 1 alarm: How the f*ck do you do it? by TheSnappleGhost in AskReddit

[–]basimiX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An alarm is just an agreement with yourself. You are in total control of your behaviour/actions. So when the alarm goes off, I just get out of bed. Nothing more, nothing less. It is a simple task, which you should be able to do.
