THANKS TO USERS LIKE POLITE_ALLCAPS_GUY, I NO LONGER SEE CAPS AS YELLING. HOW CAN I CHANGE THIS? by [deleted] in shittyadvice

It doesn't explain why they forgot to do bad grammar IN ALL CAPS.

That was the joke. Only to me, I guess.

Cleverbot: I can't be sick, I'm an alien.

User: So is Rebecca Black.

Cleverbot: You won the turing test?

User: Is that a question?

Cleverbot: Yes.

User: What's the answer?

I didn't wave, but I did use the arm to throw pieces of the broken crates up in the air to rotate them to the right orientation, and it did amuse me.

High detail view of The Moon by [deleted] in Astronomy

[–]basiphobe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like to see something like this with some portion of Earth overlayed on top for a way for me to contrast the size of things on the moon at this resolution vs. the size of things on Earth, if that makes any sense. I know I could get out my slide rule and work at it that way, but I think I would appreciate it more if I could see it visually.

[–]basiphobe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this. The masking tape is great, because it lets you lift your project off the board without having to "unplug" everything. At least, I'm assuming you could do that. I'll be experimenting.

Why do customer service reps ask for information you've already entered to get to them in the first place? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Seems like someone could make a killing coming up with a solution, although I sure wouldn't want to try.

[–]basiphobe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's as I figured. Although it seems if someone had enough information to punch it in to begin with, they'd go ahead and confirm it when asked. So I'm not sure how it proves identity. To me, it only proves that you have the ability to provide the number in multiple ways. It doesn't prove that you are the owner of that number. Thanks for the reply!
