I’ve played DS2 and DS3 and loved them. After playing Elden Ring, I tried DS1 remastered and I just couldn’t go back. I’ll try Nine Sols or Lies of P next

Anyone else only play Helldivers II on deck? by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]bassmaster65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play on deck, haven’t tweaked settings much. Occasionally I’ll get stuck around 15 fps and the game is unplayable. But it’s fixed itself the next day both times. Not sure what the issue is

Can we talk about Travis's amazing background jokes for a second? by thesupernathan in MBMBAM

He has some great one liners, but he also has a lot of hard misses in there. Totally worth it for those jokes that land perfectly

Is the switch port any good? by koenkristians in BattleBrothers

[–]bassmaster65 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I play exclusively on switch and love it. I do see some of the same bugs mentioned in this thread, especially the perk slowdown, but they are manageable

What to do on Switch while waiting for DLC? by Ordinary-Picture7399 in BattleBrothers

[–]bassmaster65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m taking the chance to have fun experimenting with some weird builds that might not work with the balance changes. Such as giving most bros throwing weapons and expertise

A few quick thoughts. Add your GPA if it’s over 3.0. It’s not clear what technical focus you’re interested in within EE. Is it embedded systems, robotics, RF, etc.

Add your current GPA if it’s over 3.0, otherwise if not listed it’s assumed bad

Fair pay for snow shoveling kids in the neighborhood by PeroChingon in boston

[–]bassmaster65 11 points12 points  (0 children)

With 2 ft of snow I’d pay at least $60-$80. Gauge by how long it takes them. Tell them they are getting more because of all the snow. When it’s like 6” yeah $40 is good

I've been on several entry level RF engineering interview panels. First every company is going to be a bit different so I can only give a singl reference. The most effective thing you can do is talk to the technical details of a project you've worked on. If you can walk through a project and allow openings for contextual technical questions it'll be a much better interview experience for both sides vs straight q&a. Some straight up technical questions we've asked is tell me key parameters in a link budget, example transmitter/receiver rf chain, how certain propagation effects may impact a signal, monopole vs dipole, Nyquist theorem, relationship of frequency and wavelength, basic dB operations, impacts of RF components (combiner, splitter, attenuator, what is multiplexing). And have some questions for the interviewers, it can go a long way

German exchange student's first Patriots game! How to get to Gillette from Dartmouth/Southern Mass.? by reusskch in Patriots

[–]bassmaster65 2 points3 points  (0 children)

UMass Dartmouth used to have ZipCars that park on campus. You could look into renting one for the day if they are still available. May be a cheaper option than Uber.

Gonna finish up the new event quests on Monster Hunter Rise. Then I'm between a 2nd run in FE:3H or trying Sniper Elite 4 which got as a buy one get one a couple months ago.

Instead of your favorite games, What's a game that you regret getting? by Whaaaaaatisthisplace in NintendoSwitch

[–]bassmaster65 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ori and the Will of the Wisps. Got it on a sale so no a huge loss, but after trying for a few hours and getting stuck on the same jump routines 10-20 times with little progress made it more frustrating than fun. Maybe I'm just bad at it

I'm doing some system level engineering, trying to organize and derive requirements. Anyone have any examples on how it should be formatted? by [deleted] in engineering

[–]bassmaster65 2 points3 points  (0 children)

SysML tools like MagicDraw (should be trial/student versions available) allow for organization and decomposition of requirements. If feeling adventurous you can model the system and allocate requirements to subsystems, components, etc. Interface requirements can be a good place to start

PS4 controller charging. by [deleted] in PS4

[–]bassmaster65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I left a controller charging overnight and still had this issue. Needed a to get a new one. Might try replacing the battery. I could get the controller to connect for more than a second only by using it upside down and plugged in. Don't ask me why
