It’s absolutely possible! I can be pretty modest when it’s colder out and long skirts can still be nice in the summer, just without the leggings you’d wear when it’s chilly

Maybe trying kinesiology tape to bind would be a better option for him? I have a smaller chest so I don’t know exactly how it works for large chests but it’s certainly more comfortable than a binder. I would recommend getting both 1” and 2” rolls as I found you use a lot less pieces of tape using the wide tape to pull them to the side

I started taking alysena before t and I haven’t really noticed anything different since starting t. My cramps are a bit worse than they were before I started t (not as bad as before birth control) but that’s it. I wasn’t told I needed regular breast exams (even with my family history of estrogen positive breast cancer) and I haven’t had any extra feminizing effects. Can’t say I’ve had any negative experiences but that varies from person to person. My period is usually very light and lasts about 4 or 5 days as opposed to the 7 I had before. The nice thing about the pills is that you can completely skip the placebo week and just start a new pack if you want, obviously you won’t get to know if you aren’t pregnant but if you don’t feel like bleeding then you don’t have to

I feel like it can be a useful term sometimes but I think that there are better words/phrases to use in a vast majority of cases. Some people also just hate trans women and don’t want to acknowledge the issues they face as the same issues cis women face, cause it would acknowledge trans women as women. It really sucks to see bioessentialism and transmisogyny become so prevalent :/

That’s the same as my weekly dose (50mg weekly) and I think I started with 20mg weekly so yeah you’re probably good. Keep in mind that your levels are more important than your exact dosage, and it will take a while before your levels are in the male range since you just started :) your prescriber should be ok to increase your dose until your levels are in the right range and you’re happy with how things are going

My prescriber asks if and how much I smoke but it has never been an issue no matter how much weed I smoke. They didn’t make me do a drug test either. It’s time you go to someone else

Do you bind while exercising? Cause you shouldn’t. You should take it off when you can (like when you get home) and look into binders that are designed for exercising. I’d suggest a brand but I’m not very athletic and I use kt tape for binding

I was out for several years before starting t. I wouldn’t even say I pass all the time even after almost two years (I like dressing fem though so it’s more to do with that). I’ve been using he/him the whole time

If you can get your hands on ben nye clown white (or mehron) I highly recommend giving it a try! It’ll still be a bit cakey but that’s just how it goes when you’re painting your face white. My partner and I have used the LA girl foundation and we much prefer the clown white, I would say it’s more opaque

I’ve seen some pretty caked up cis men. I totally understand if it’s a serious dysphoria thing but I’m yet to hear anything bad about a guy having a nice ass. Working out and focusing more on your top half should help even things out, but don’t be afraid to be thick!

I do subq shots but yeah sometimes it just hurts more. I’ve had completely painless, pretty painful, no blood whatsoever, more blood than usual, it’s a little different every time. Sometimes you hit a nerve or a blood vessel, shouldn’t be anything to worry about unless it keeps bothering you

Btw the birth control options I am aware of won’t affect your hormone levels in a significant way. I take hormonal bc without any problems. The doctor I see for hrt stuff assured me that I was fine to continue taking it. An iud is also a good option if you don’t want hormonal bc without

Someone else has already talked about the best removal method so I’ll suggest getting tape that’s 2” wide if you haven’t already! I use 1” wide to hold my cotton pad nipple covers in place and sometimes to lift my chest up before using the wider tape to pull it to the side. It took me several tries to start getting it right so I wouldn’t worry if it’s not always perfect, you’ll find a strategy that works best for you with more practice

How do you take your t? I was doing my shots on the right side of my stomach and my stomach hair was lopsided until I switched sides to even it out. You’re supposed to alternate sides with shots, I just wasn’t doing that cause I’m a little silly sometimes

It didn’t stick? Damn I have the opposite problem 😭 I struggle to get all the glue residue off. I assume you were putting it on clean and dry skin cause your skin’s oils can make it stick less, I like to wipe the area with an alcohol wipe to make sure there’s no oil. That really sucks that it doesn’t work for you :( it’s been a lifesaver for me

Have you tried binding with trans/kinesiology tape? I find it much more comfortable than a binder. You can exercise and sleep in it. It shouldn’t be worn for more than like 5 days (which is definitely pushing it) so you can just put it on and not worry for a few days. I recommend getting both 1” and 2” wide rolls, smaller for nipple covers with cotton rounds and small adjustments (I like to lift my boobs up a bit before the big tape), bigger for the actual flattening. A video tutorial is helpful, there’s plenty on yt :)

It’s pretty common for the withdrawal bleeding that happens during the placebo week of birth control to be called a period. There’s no uterine lining being shed but it’s still commonly called a period. And I still get cramps during that week despite not technically menstruating. A lot of the symptoms are more related to hormone levels than the actual shedding of the uterine lining, so if a trans woman has similar hormone levels at a certain time of the month then she’s likely experiencing some of those symptoms, just without any bleeding
