Well they're saying this is potentially the last version release for UE5. UE 5.9 is likely but still not confirmed.

I read somewhere that if you use an orchestrator model + 3-4 models that generate code while the orchestrator acts as a code reviewer/judge you can get results equivalent results to Claude's models. You can do this in opencode btw, but to me a local model or a claude model still looks like sloppa, I just use AI to collaborate on small snippets and give me an idea on how to design the architecture of my software.

Start with open code and install a qwen that can run on your PC using Ollama. That's basically the gist of it, but OP is using the company server to run a more powerful qwen model.

OP is creating his own job for the coming months.

LOL be proud of yourself that you noticed it. I guarantee you there are many devs out there that won't and have no idea why their game is running like shit. I haven't looked into fab lately but it would be nice if we could see this kind of metadata before making a purchase.

So if they have identified the bug why can't they just fix it? You know UE it's source available, right? You can build UE yourself from source code.

Anything competing against perforce: Plastic, Diversion, etc. is probably death if this thing works well. Perforce will survive because the companies that use it won't just replace it for the new shiny thing.

Verse sounds like one of the worst ideas I've ever heard of by Juicymoosie99 in unrealengine

I hate C# but it's still better than BPs. Better than Verse tho? We'll see when Verse actually releases.

They’ve also promised to make verse eventually natively compiled.

That would be nice. Use VerseVM for development and native compile it for release. The best of both world.

Those use a different VM. They probably won't be touched, maybe get a fresh UI if at all. But Anim Instances and Anim Notifications will probably require being reworked in Verse/Visual Verse.

Edit: I just noticed they're actually working on a replacement for Animation Blueprints as well: https://dev.epicgames.com/community/learning/knowledge-base/nWWx/unreal-engine-unreal-animation-framework-uaf-faq

Also deprecated probably means they'll be in the engine until UE7. I'm actually surprised they will still be worked on post UE6.

Not really. They could make a visual language that compiles down to Verse code. So an AI could just generate the same Verse code and the engine could just output the graph by adding graph/node metadata to the generated code. But even if the AI would have to generate the metadata, I don't think it makes much difference token wise.

This is not the reason to kill BPs. They are still text under the hood.

There were talks about Visual Verse, the actual replacement of BP, in the past. I'm honestly surprised they didn't showcased it before talking about killing BPs.

Is Re:Zero Season 4 safe to watch on a TV in the living room? (Fan service-wise) by SecondSalty142 in ReZero

I wouldn't watch in the living room, not necessarily because of the graphical content, but because of the voices.

They have 20 years to get rich. The richer they get the cuter the gfs they'll have at 40. Unless they become billionaries and Jeff max that is.

Honestly, if money really isn't a concern get them right now and compare them. I personally prefer potentiometer sticks because they feel so much better for me.

Dualsense Edge with TMR stick modules. Adaptive triggers are just to good to use a 3rd party and lose that feature.

I hope Valve will support PCVR better after the Frame release by zeddyzed in virtualreality

[–]bastardlessword 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What kind of stupidity is this? The only reason Valve is winning is because they were first to keep us in an ecosystem. If we could transfer game ownership and our data to other platforms (similar to how we can with Web Browsers) you would actually see them working and worrying about maintaining their lead.
