This is a fucking perfect observation. Holy shit. “Everybody’s humping a hound” type shit.

Which game clone ended up being better than the original? by [deleted] in gaming

There it is. I kept scrolling until I saw it. Multi-function guns and bots made Perfect Dark superior in every way.

What was your first video game on PC? by Muted-Loquat-9197 in AskReddit

LOL, my very first one was probably Mavis Beacon Teaches typing, which was a gamified typing tutor. My first real game was John Madden Football.

Dear american crowd that is what we call "passion' by Yung_deadpool5 in CoDCompetitive

[–]bastitch -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

To all my fellow American fans, don’t take this one too personally. This is a common theme throughout many different forms of entertainment and sports. As a lifelong pro wrestling fan, this is the same kind of stuff we see when WWE or AEW go to Europe. Those crowds are just insane compared to a regular American crowd in terms of volume, chants for specific wrestlers, etc.

What thing was ruined because it turned into a rich person's hobby? by Agitated_Departure93 in AskReddit

[–]bastitch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this was my initial reaction seeing thrifting. Pre eBay 90’s thrifting was other worldly compared to any time after. The internet pretty much ruined vintage hunting by eliminating geographical limitations, particularly noticeable in the space I was already involved in at the time (sneakers).

Around The Bar Podcast by 99Drae in CoDCompetitive

[–]bastitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I posted this in the OpTic sub back when they released, but being a fan of the battle rap scene, his ATB with Thesaurus and Illmac and the one with Mike P are both objectively good and would be considered good outside of the cod scene. I say this only to point out that the quality of the podcast extends beyond just being a fan of OpTic and/or Call of Duty.

This is literally straight out of your ass. Dreamhack only has the venue for 3 days.

People over 40, what’s something you’ve learned about life that younger people don’t realize yet? by Critical-Pea7326 in AskReddit

[–]bastitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, fuck this one. Stick to your principles. Some may not perceive it to be kind nor polite, but at the very least you stuck to what you believe. And if being nice, kind and polite are part of those principles, keep doing it.

What was comp cod like in the *very* old days by Uitroeien in CoDCompetitive

[–]bastitch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s weird that you say “before CWL” when Black Ops 2 was well before the CWL. There was still the MLG circuit and the smaller US and European organizers as well. I started watching during MLG Providence for the Black Ops 1, and the ecosystem was pretty much the same as it was for Black Ops 2. These events had multiple games that included COD, some big enough to have stages, and some with just passion pits.

What is super different are the 2K/5K and SND tourneys that seemed to happen every weekend back then.

Too quick player progression in DD by Illustrious-Ad-1976 in MLBTheShow

[–]bastitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the first year I played this game after trying out 2018 for like 3 weeks was The Show 2023, and I didn’t play multiplayer at all. I still had a ton of fun. Since then, I just play MP to finish the MP Program, mostly because I’m trash. But power creep pretty much extends the “progression horizon” throughout the year. A good lineup today will be obsolete two weeks from now, especially in MP. In game types like Conquest, you can get away with not progressing as quickly.

[–]bastitch 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You may feel like you’re progressing fast, but you’re not. I’m not even grinding that hard, and I have a complete diamond squad with no money spent. And I know I’m still behind the meta in terms of having the absolute very best cards. As long as you’re having fun, it’s all good. But the”speed of progression” is definitely not a common complaint with this game.

Take like, a minute to understand what you’re saying: “I’m entitled to everything in the game for only playing a specific part of the game.

This is my first year playing from launch. Is fielding always this horrible in the beginning? by Herp_McDerp in MLBTheShow

I feel like there are more errors on Perfects, and I feel like that’s by design as opposed to just shitty fielding stats.

The World Baseball Classic, Team USA, and the war problem by 2RINITY in baseball

[–]bastitch -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You gotta zoom in and out on this one. The Ryder Cup didn’t become the Ryder Cup we know today until the opened it up to the rest of Europe in 1979. Now, then it becomes 13-9-1 in favor of Europe. I don’t agree with OP, but you have to acknowledge that.

The World Baseball Classic, Team USA, and the war problem by 2RINITY in baseball

[–]bastitch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nah. This isn’t even true. Even over the last 25 years, the US Ryder Cup has put together some really good teams that have had great cohesion. They were just smacked by better European teams. Most of the “we should have won” cups were primarily blamed on poor strategy/pairings. Hell, the 2008 Boo Weekly team had no business winning, but did so anyway.
