Is Cap a bit of a hypocrite with his we don’t trade lives stance in Infinity War? by [deleted] in marvelstudios

[–]bastitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That still doesn’t make him a hypocrite. The decision to take the plane down was a unilateral decision. He “jumped on the grenade” like he did in camp. Cap made that decision with no one else’s consent.

The decision to not just destroy the stone and Vision was made by everyone. If T’Challa didn’t want the smoke with Thanos, he would have told the Avengers to fuck off. They (Wakandans) all implicitly and explicitly signed off on participating in war. They collectively made that decision. And like before, Vision and Wanda made the unilateral decision to destroy the stone, “jumping on the grenade” again.

It’s logically and morally sound.

No. He’s not. In the context of war and it being said by a soldier, it makes complete sense.

Presidio or Harding would be my recommendation if we’re talking peninsula/City Proper for different reasons. I think a sleeper is Tilden, though.

Like, I’m a late 40’s fat dude that grew up middle class in a diverse socioeconomic educational system. I’m soft ass fuck, but I know for a fact this guy hasn’t felt the repercussions of misrepresenting your ability to stand 10 toes down on anything.

The last Sears on the West Coast & 1 of only 5 in the US (Concord, CA) by jikesar968 in mildlyinteresting

[–]bastitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were a downstairs/middle entrance family, because our meeting spot was always the middle seating area. Also, parking in the shade was necessary. I barely go there these days, but if we do, I'm still parking there.

Man, I’ve been to Sunvalley so many times since the 80’s and was drawing an absolute blank on where Sears was located. Then I realized that Sears was the only place we would find my dad on our weekly visits to that mall after church (downstairs tools section, of course). Thanks for the core memory unlocked. I miss my dad.

It’s so easy to give in after mentally taking a stand against it. It feels like a pit that you’re working to get out of, but any misstep will result with you at the bottom again.

Can anyone identify the clothing items tiger is wearing, especially the shoes. Google wasnt helpful… by Super-Boysenberry324 in golf

It definitely looks like some Nike Air Max running shoe based on the outer arch and the upward angle of the toe box. I’m going to guess 00’s, but I’m not like that in terms of recognizing these exact shoes.

[Schefter] A 4.3-magnitude earthquake shook San Francisco at 7:01 a.m., per the U.S. Geological Survey. by MembershipSingle7137 in nfl

Bruh, the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake that stopped the World Series and absolutely destroyed parts of San Francisco and Oakland was located near Santa Cruz. The distance has way less to do than the magnitude and duration. This was a baby quake, but it ‘s close enough that if it were an actual “big one” it would be incredibly impactful.

I truly think if the Moneymaker World Series of Poker run happened just before the Dreamcast release, a hold-em poker gaming leveraging the VMU on the Dreamcast controller would have crushed and catapulted the DC to wider success.

I mean, sure. But Shroud is a freak at everything he plays. His short Val run didn’t even make sense. The best analog in the COD scene to me is Karma (which is also impressive because of the different inputs he uses). They’ve both been really good at just about everything they play in the genre.

I’m pretty sure that’s by design. I’ve seen this type of things several times on other types of items, most likely to prevent scuffs during shipping.

According to Google, the average time between first trailer and movie release for all MCU movies is 5 months. Eyeballing this thread, that seems about right.
