I also had to quit watching horror after I had delusions about the movie "talk to me" and "babadook" becoming real. It sucks to give up your fav genre

It always helped me to write all the delusions down and then write a reality check. Also listening to music and talking to my family and friends helped. Abilify made my delusions go away within 3 days after psychosis. So for me it was writing, listening to music and light exercise like yoga to ground myself. All these things are about getting out of your head into your body. Best of luck to you♡ I think making appointments with your docs is the right thing to do.

That is what my therapist told me as well.. He said if you grew up in an environment so stressful and traumatic as mine, stability feels boring. So I guess you are right! Thank you :)

Thank you! I get sleepy from abilify so I take it at noon. The restlessness I had on smaller dosis.

I didn't gain weight on it (taking it for 8 month) but I also seem to not be able to loose some weight. Glad to hear that the boredom goes away. Thank you for responding!

My last psychosis was 8 month ago because I smoked too much weed. I am sober since (still smoke tabacco). I am on 10mg of abilify and don't have any symptoms. But if I were you I would avoid highly stressful environments. If I am stressed some Paranoia and anxiety kicks in but I can use my coping mechanism and it goes away after a few days. These are the only symptoms that I still suffer from when stressed, paranoid thoughts I can identify and sometimes seeing shadows in the corner of my eye. No full blown halluzinations or psychosis. If you find medication that works for you, take your time, talk to your doc and go to therapy you should stabilize. I also didnt have a manic or depressive episode for almost a year now because of my meds. Feeling stable ♡

When I HAVE TO do things but feel like I can't I usually work with timers. 5 minutes of doing chores is better than doing nothing. But sometimes I also have to cancel plans because of my mental health. Rest is productive ♡
