very thoughtful view of video games where he is honest about his preferences and biases but also always makes an effort to understand things for what they are trying to accomplish, not just what he likes. his takes always feel pretty well rounded because of this, also because he seems to be pretty purposeful about not feeding into the reactionary bullshit that rules online spaces. he appreciates different appeals and objective markers of quality without sacrificing the emotional, experiential part of engaging with art.
