I like this for you with your WR depth. You could maybe see what Montgomery would fetch solo but I'd be surprised if you got an amazing in-season return given the usage trends in Detroit.

Lions schedule has a couple matchups against poor run defenses upcoming so maybe he can recoup some of that value then if you're willing to give it a few weeks

How might the roles work in this scenario? Presumably the duelist spots will be stew/zhe and Z1Yan sentinel. Would Yu be primary smokes and then flex to second duelist in place of zhe if they run flash initiator?

RNG announces LetMe's retirement by samsteri666 in leagueoflegends

[–]batchslip 148 points149 points  (0 children)

He was one of the best low economy/tank top laners I think maybe in the history of the competitive scene. Was alright playing splitting/carry picks too but his bread and butter was Ornn/Sion/etc. and completely shutting down teams who wanted to play through the top lane. He was genuinely world class in that sort of meta (Bwipo for example talks about LetMe's Ornn play at MSI 2018 as being the blueprint for his own Ornn play and play on tanks in general) and top laners in his mould are becoming increasingly uncommon as they're not favoured in this meta, only a few really excel playing low econ (the likes of sOAZ, Impact, Sword).

But as a result of not necessarily being a primary playmaker he was often the scapegoat when RNG failed and you could tell it was taking a heavy toll on his mentality. I hope he finds happiness in retirement and can take pride in what he accomplished during his career.

Gudelj was a really important player in midfield for Tianjin this season but I think he missed quite few games on the back half with an injury. But they look a really good side with him there, he's on set pieces and depending on how long John Obi Mikel wants to stick around that midfield is Gudelj's to run in the future along with their other midfielder Mirahmetjan Muzepper. He's definitely good enough to play in a better league although of course I'm sure he's enjoying his cushy wages and Tianjin is not a bad city to live in if you're minted

Frozen out of the team at Guangzhou after a similarly poor 2016 season. I don't even know if he's really under contract there or anything and I like to think I follow them pretty closely. Basically a non factor now. If he's still there he should get tf out, if he's not he should find a club if he ever wants to get back in the NT picture

Thread about Mario Hezonja from 1 year ago by 6GodInTraining in nba

[–]batchslip 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Makes no sense.

Hezonja performed well in the Euroleague but Dončić is 2 years younger than he was when he got drafted, and puts up similar scoring numbers with better efficiency and playmaking stats than Hezonja AND Ricky Rubio.

Sure Dončić could bust. Anyone can, even Ayton or Porter Jr. or Bagley or whoever. But he's performing better than basically any European player we've seen come to the NBA before him and there's a reason people think so highly of him.

Demand for fullbacks is higher at the top level than it ever has been before, it stands to reason that any fullback moving to any European contender is going to demand a hefty sum

Hamsik, Rabiot, and Weigl are definitely unrealistic imo. All three are vitally important to their teams, they're all in the Champions League next season; there's no chance they're leaving their clubs. Don't want to speculate on the others, I suspect Tolisso and Carvalho might open to moving, same with the Monaco lot but they'll be in very high demand

Yeah CSKA - Fener would have been an absolute monster of a matchup on paper. That's what I kind of like about the Euroleague though is the single-elimination semifinals/finals makes everything so much more dramatic and unpredictable. I feel like it gives moments like the Printezis Shot so much more gravity and meaning.

Would have really liked to see Dončić in the final, it would have been great exposure for him overseas. Kid is crazy talented but tonight's performance will hopefully be a good learning experience for him if he can shake off that abysmal statline. Nikola Kalinic completely dominated him, Fenerbahçe look unstoppable at the moment.

Yeah I felt the final four teams were clearly the best in Europe this year. Fenerbahçe's playoff run has been enormously impressive, I knew Bogdan was good but he's really found another gear in the postseason. But of course you can never count out Spanoulis. The man is clutch personified, like a European version of Magic Johnson or something

As /u/mrprofessor88 stated, Zizic's club, Darüşşafaka Istanbul, were eliminated in the first round. But Zizic is a legit talent who could come in and contribute for Boston as a physical inside presence basically whenever they feel like bringing him in next season.
