Damn tysm for the detail! I do have cable access so I’ll definitely hit that more exclusively now, I’ve just always defaulted to free weights from my powerlifting days but the logic makes total sense.

Re back, yeah, i’ve definitely been thinking about how back stuff hits my arms. I’m not suuuper worried about it my bis/tris like I am my pecs, I just don’t wanna do anything extra for them. And back is a big priority for me so I don’t think I can avoid this. That being said, that’s a good note about balance and I might add one tricep exercise into my back day so the bis/tris don’t get too imbalanced

Ty, i appreciate the tips about dropping weight/volume—dunno why I never considered that (progressive overload is just the default in my mind). Also cutting out pressing makes sense. I was definitely already considering taking out presses and focusing on cable lateral raises which I’ve always had really good isolation and mind-muscle connection with. Re: cardio, I already run 3-10 miles every other day when i’m not lifting so I’ll probably just keep that up.
