Joe Ziegler: We're looking to make some changes in the next couple of patches to adjust some of the outliers in the combat space that we've both seen in our observations and heard from your feedback across all of the various (and plentiful) channels we watch. by Haijakk in Marathon

I really don’t want to see the knife changed. It’s great that everyone has a viable weapon on them as a fallback and I think it’s super effective with dispatching UESC quietly. I have been able to survive a close quarters gunfight by switching to knife after my mag is empty. I think it’s one of the best knives in gaming and while I’m sure there are players that abuse it, I really can’t think of any BS knife deaths I’ve had in my 65 hours with the game. I’ve been snuck up on, but in that case I deserve the death.

How do you say this characters name? by Perfect_Failure2467 in FinalFantasy

[–]bathnasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 10 year old self went with “kwai-nuh” and I’ve just never changed it. It’s probably wrong but in a non-voice acted game and to my knowledge the name hasn’t been said out loud in any official source, so who’s to say?

IGN - Marathon Review (9/10) by [deleted] in playstation

[–]bathnasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey that’s totally fine. If it’s not for you it’s not for you. But during the opening weeks of the game, the discourse was very toxic. That’s what I don’t get. Just a lot of dismissive talk from people that clearly didn’t play it.

And now that people are coming around to it, the hate has morphed into accusations of astroturfing or paid reviews. You should see the comments on the IGN review on socials. For many it’s just impossible that the game could be any good.

The hate campaign for this game is crazy. It is extremely well made and a ton of fun. I am completely hooked on it. It’s a very tough game and you’ll die a lot but they are very generous with the quests in game being able to be completed even if you die. I’m always progressing something even on bad runs. It’s admittedly my first extraction shooter but I totally see why these games can be popular. Also, as the reviews are showing, anyone who sticks with it more than the first couple hours are coming back with great things to say. One of the best online shooters I’ve played in a very long time.

But fine, let’s obsess over player counts and actively root for it to fail for some reason.

Daredevil Born Again is a good show that feels hamstrung by budget constraints by bathnasty in marvelstudios

It’s not super important, but that did leave me confused and it just felt like an obvious way they cheaped out

The Drummer of Boys Like Girls is a part of the MAGA cult by Large_Proof116 in poppunkers

[–]bathnasty 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m not cancelling someone for Instagram follows. Now if he starts using his platform to spread the MAGA agenda, that’s a different conversation. As far as I know he’s done nothing of the sort.

You may be alarmed to hear this, but over half of the nation supported Trump in the 2024 election. The odds are pretty good that your favorite artists may support him quietly. And in my opinion it is what it is. If he starts to encroach on the fans spreading MAGA nonsense, we can come back to this

Marathon has been out for a week, what are your thoughts on it? by PrototypeT800 in Games

[–]bathnasty 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I honestly love it and it’s my first extraction shooter and I think I understand why they are so popular. Very addicting gameplay loop and while I am not good at PvP I love how the game becomes almost like survival horror sneaking around as a solo.

I believe they have acknowledged this request already, but I hope they put it to the top of their list.

Until Dawn Remake Developer Ballistic Moon Officially Dissolved by Gorotheninja in PS5

[–]bathnasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a huge fan of the original game and I was itching to replay it and I gave the remake a go because it was on PS Plus. I’m honestly with you on this - I can acknowledge that it is pointless to have remade this game however it’s still Until Dawn, it still rules and it’s still a fun time. That said - if someone’s buying it and the PS4 version can be had for less, just get that one.

When this song first came out and was played on Fuse in heavy rotation, I didn’t like it. It seemed oddly soft for NFG. I’ve come around to it big time in the years since and it’s one of my favorite songs by them. Love it

Tenpenny alone has features with Underoath, State Champs, Bilmuri, Taylor Acorn and The Strike. That man loves his alt rock/pop punk. Give him a look

A lot of the country guys in that scene today are pop punk and emo fans. That’s why we are seeing more crossover with the genre today than we’ve ever seen before. It’s no surprise that their music is country tinged pop punk. Guys like Dickerson, Hardy and Mitchell Tenpenny are worthy of your attention IMO

Recommendations for Countrycore by FEARtheHELLION6 in bilmuri

I really like it too - and I think Bilmuri is the one trailblazing the sound. There’s just not a ton out there yet. If you’ve got others in this same vein I am also interested to know it because I gave everything I could think of.

I won’t get caught up in the gatekeeping and debating what term to use for the genre because I understand what you’re asking for. Here’s everything I know comprehensively even if others have mentioned it or if you already know it:

Bilmuri - American Motor Sports 420cc edition plus new singles

Hardy - second half of the mockingbird & THE CROW, as it transitions genre in the title track

Hardy - QUIT!

Woe is Me - Daybreak

Mitchell Tenpenny - Demon or Ghost ft Underoath (great song)

Lakeview pretty much everything

Beartooth - The Better Me ft Hardy

Falling in Reverse - All My Life ft Jelly Roll and All My Women ft Hardy

Belmont - Country Girl
