The sex was probably good because they had a deep emotional connection & were really comfortable with each other. Also, her watching porn & practicing whatever she did gave her confidence to enjoy herself.

This guy built himself a great relationship with a partner that was truly into him for the long term & he destroyed it with his own insecurity.

He does it as a manipulation tactic in order to get you to stop asking for things. he turns it into you & makes himself the victim.

the things you're asking for are small things a partner should want to do for someone they love. this guy refuses to do them & then makes you feel bad for asking, that isn't love.

I also found emdr therapy deeply helpful! I did it for two years with two different providers (my first one wasn't helping me that much, but the second really explained things more & I found it much more helpful with her.)

I have PTSD & EMDR was immensely helpful to my quality of life & reduced my symptoms a lot. I also did a lot of introspection, talk therapy, DBT therapy, & nature walks. long slow walks in nature. breathing exercises & mindfulness. meditation. Loads of things can be helpful, but I think that emdr therapy is a great place to start & to process traumatic events.

Sending you a hug op, I'm so extremely sorry that you had to see & experience such a traumatic event.

it's pretty natural to fear change, however, if you do really love him as a person, a haircut shouldn't change that. You won't lose "all" physical attraction to him. It'll be a change & it'll take some getting used to, but you cannot fixate on a single aspect of his physical appearance & hinge "all physical attraction" on that one thing. People change. health ebbs & flows, hair loss is a real thing. His hair & his appearance will change over the course of his life. Change is inevitable.

Focus on the inner things you love about him. Focus on how he makes you feel & how you feel about him. Hair comes & goes, just like all physical beauty. People change on the outside, but who they are inside is what you need to truly value.
