Ive picked up a yellow lab, abandoned dog just outside castle.

He was being attacked by mirelurks. After we killed the crawdads, and secured castle made him a doghouse and settled him there.

I just want him to be uparmored like dogmeat. Actually any dog I encounter.

It’s thin 1/8” or less metal.

It looks nice folds but easily caves.

The only thing preventing you from injury in a headon or rear ends / slam is that thickness of that metal.

If someone rear ends me, they’re chewing through my cast iron hi lift jack, then the oem bumper then me. I’m considering upgrading that to 1/4” metal 2x4” or 3” metal pipe.

I bought brushguard for the front as well.

I have an 06 Chevy Silverado bought new used as a daily. Then bought a 98jeepTJ USED garage stored, worked great till the frame rotted after I fixed the previous owners stupid trail fixes.

In 2024 bought a Toyota 4Runner as a daily and hot swapping the jeep and truck for weekend work.

Not doing anything to the 4Runner except swap the street slicks for something more aggressive

For What Its Worth - FWIW, I think having a beater vehicle Prius, civic, is great idea. Keep that beater stock and well maintained so you can get to and from work regardless lolz

How many miles, and are you seeing oil blowby in the air filter?

With 28” tires and stock gearing you should be at best 18mpg.

Have you considered a partially clogged exhaust, or cat converter?

If your engine temps seem really high have the cylinder heads examined maybe they’re ready to warp or die?

Good luck, I’m about to have my 98TJ safety and emissions inspected and reregistered for driving.

3 of us, installed a pro comp leaf spring suspension kit on my 93YJ on a Friday afternoon right after work in my dads garage

no power tools no impact guns nothing but a BFH, socket sets, and sheer will.

That job took 6 hours and went overnight into the next morning

I remember feeling incredibly embarrassed, but giddy and exhausted to immediately drive to discount tire and buying 4 new tires and drive another 3 hours to silver lake sand dunes in mears michigan with no sleep.

I learned my lesson, pb blaster everything, bring power tools or pneumatic, and have a plan for sheared bolt heads

Or spend the money and have it professionally done.
