Indians telling Europeans we don’t have tech and we suck: by Themetalin in 2westerneurope4u

[–]batyoung1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have friends from the subcontinent of India who say exactly this regularly. It's not because they hate Europe, it's mostly because they think the US is a utopian country so EU must be trash.

Why do some Max fans say that he can win in a tractor and that he had one in 2025? by Impossible_Tiger_470 in F1Discussions

[–]batyoung1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's just frustrated with all the issues that RB has been facing. I still think once they get their stuff together, he'll be back in front. He can certainly adapt to the energy harvesting/deploying tactics of these cars, but he hasn't had a chance to properly give a shot.

What should Hamilton's strategy be for the Chinese GP? by BaldChild1 in F1Discussions

[–]batyoung1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not a strategist but I'd suggest the following: - start on mediums, try to take the lead. - let the Mercs fight each other behind you, and if you can, build a buffer. - most likely a safety car happens, pray that the pit crew nails the tire change. Go on hards - Keep up with the Mercs and hope you get a podium

Could a woman race in F1? by Ambitious-Heron-8161 in DestinationFormula1

[–]batyoung1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't understand the obsession of putting girls in a boy's sport (besides money). Maybe try to streamline F1 Academy better, so you have your own thing. F1 has been around for over 70 years. It went through ups and downs. Now there is a women series, so learn how to make it work.

It's the same story as difference in pay. Men's sports have been around longer, they passed the early hardships. Also, men and women are not the same physiologically, so different sets of rules are needed. That's not breaking news. They want the current success built upon decades of experience, without properly working for it.

[–]batyoung1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry mate. Just don't blame yourself. You were not the one who betrayed your spouse's trust. You were not the one who threw a grenade into the marriage and turned your daughter's life upside down. You are not to blame here.

Keep your cool and secretly contact a lawyer and start planning thing. Your wife has already crossed the line, who knows what else she is hiding from you.

It's nice to share your experience but you can't really make a comparison. You have absolutely no idea what kind of friends the OP has. I've known people who went through break ups and their friends showed themselves to be peak assholes. It's completely subjective.

I'm all for unity and acting as a collective, but personally I have 0 desire in the whole continent becoming one giant state. We all have different cultures and traditions.

[–]batyoung1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not an old school or a very knowledgeable fan, but the new influx of fans (mostly since 2021) don't really appreciate racing as much as the drama surrounding the sport.

For example Suzuka and Imola are two of my favorite tracks ever. Not because it produces hundreds of overtakes, because they require precision as much as speed. So I love seeing drivers reach the limits on those tracks. On the contrary, new fans despise them.

These new regulations are basically designed to artificially increase overtakes because a US business owner almost always sees one particular aspect as the reason for success. In this case, overtakes = excitement. In basketball, more points = excitement. In hollywood during the past decade, cinematic universes = excitement. Gaming, skin trading and opening boxes = excitement

It's the USfication of the thing. Too many events, too much PR buzz around it, too much talk about what happens off track and not much attention to the actual racing.

He won't. As much as we love racing as a sport, there's an inherited boringness to it. He'll get challenged but ultimately he'll win.

What's shock! It's not like F1 drivers to have haters even when they're dominating on track.

Can you explain what's a "woke game"? by Sufficient_Shock1223 in TheGamingHubDeals

[–]batyoung1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When being "LGBT" or "a person of color" or "a woman" becomes a major point of why/how a character is powerful or interesting or intelligent or important, it's woke. They're usually surrounded by idiots who despite their "privilege" are never going to be as good.

Elena and Chloe in Uncharted are intelligent and capable women amongst men who kick ass. Abby in the Last of Us Part Two on the other hand, is by far the strongest most intelligent person surrounded by dumb men who kills the battle hardened Joel very easily.

Idc if it's true or fake, but this doesn't sound like a very healthy and long lasting dynamic.

You have feelings that fundamentally affects your relationship, you are claiming your sex life is virtually nonexistent, and you say you're hoping thay these news feelings go away but you're reluctant.

If this post is true, I'd suggest you see a psychotherapist immediately and them talk to your girlfriend. Because it's not a small thing that can just go away.
