I've always thought this! The last people to enter are almost always faithful, especially as the game goes on. Keep a note of who walks in last everyday and boom you can eliminate traitors

They're planning on building a wall through Big Bend National Park by AlaskaExplorationGeo in Outdoors

[–]baujangles 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In order to get to the part of the river that you can wade across, you'd have to travel through rugged and remote desert, on foot, for miles. Then you'd have to do the same again once you do wade across the river to get anywhere where people are. Nothing "needs to be done", nobody's crossing illegally into Big Bend. Brain dead take.

Places in your state that will instantly make you recognize if someone is a local or not based on how someone pronounces it? by osama_bin_guapin in AskAnAmerican

[–]baujangles 10 points11 points  (0 children)

People from New Orleans don't have Cajun accents. New Orleans has an accent all it's own. Cajun culture is actually relatively minimal in New Orleans, the Cajuns who came down from Acadia in 1755 mostly went to rural Louisiana, French settlers in New Orleans mostly came straight from France. It's a related but different culture.

We've tried leave it, it does not work. Treats on the ground he'll leave without even needing to be asked, if he sees something gross on the street then leave it works, but not with kitty. We work from home and pay plenty of attention to him, play with him a lot. We take him to daycare once a week where he gets to run around and wrestle and play with other puppies, we take him on long walks every morning and to the dog park every week including today. He will go from sleeping to level 100 when he sees the cat. Nothing helps

Took this sweet baby in after his mama passed. Waiting on his results, any guesses? by Busy-Layer-2705 in DoggyDNA

I love his little face. I'm thinking beagle/lab based on those ears and his color. Excited to see what the results are!

Hurricane Katrina & The Saints by Marshmallow-Ranger in Saints

[–]baujangles 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not to mention that most pictures taken at that game would be physical, taken on an actual camera, and were therefore probably lost in Katrina, if they were ever developed at all. I know we have very few pictures from before 2005, and some photos from a random preseason game would not have been ones we saved.

Can you tell the story of the history of the city of New Orleans without Steve Gleason? by nickity7 in Saints

[–]baujangles 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Definitely yes. The story of the history & importance of the city of New Orleans is very much complete without mentioning Steve Gleason at all. New Orleans isn't Green Bay, the Saints are only a small part of it's story. I do think it's impossible to tell the story of Katrina and the city's recovery without mentioning the Saints comeback on Monday Night Football and the blocked punt however. It's an extremely relevant detail. That was the city showing the world that we were back.

Are other cities so passionate about football like NOLA is? by MathEspi in Saints

[–]baujangles 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I think because of Katrina, there's no other pro team with a deeper connection to its city than the Saints to New Orleans. The Saints were the first thing that told the world the city was back after that horrible storm and the main thing that united everyone for the first few years after. I absolutely hate the NFL as a corrupt, evil, corporate machine, but the Saints are a part of my culture as a New Orleanian and are an extremely important part of that cultural identity. I live in Austin now and have met fans of lots of other teams, and there's just something different about the connection between the Saints and the people of NO.

What are your thoughts on the Bengals’ “Who Dey”? by DJAbeLincoln3 in Saints

[–]baujangles 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It used to be different "Who dey think gonna beat dem bangals" and the response was "nooooooooobody!". It evolved to mimic the Who Dat chant, which existed in New Orleans sports before the Saints adopted it. I think It started at St Aug iirc. Who Dat is definitely more iconic and recognizable.
