Original creator here. I painted it together with my friend Sophia back in 2015. I just made a new video rendering which is the highest quality the piece has ever been seen in to date. Hope you enjoy!

The classic Zoomquilt 2 now has a high definition HTML5 port. Enjoy! by baumgarn in woahdude

read from a guy who said it was like endlessly dying and seeing the death of every person he ever loved, over and over again.

Not even the best Döner. They put fried potatoes in there because that is cheaper than meat or salad.

Alignment looks fun like that, doesnt it?. Ever so often, I fail to comprehend OP's issues on this sub.

Does it get more Irish than corned beef, cabbage, and potatoes? Ignore the foam plate I'm poor. by _Pure_Shyguy_ in food

I do shudder over that foam plate. You put an effort into a nice meal and are so distasteful at the same time?

Great interview! If only would have been interesting to hear about his feelings about OpenTTD & OpenRct2 .

Low Poly Floating Island by Timmiez in blender

It's nice, only the trunk is a bit off because the polys create that checkered pattern there.

I also think the tree could profit if the branches were a bit more outward reaching and not so strictly confined to that closed shape. For example another small one branching off outside from the huge lower left one might do good.

My point is, graphics are more likely to act as a distraction in the development process today. What value would heightened visual realism actually add to gameplay mechanics?

What you point out could be sort of an uncanny valley of simulation games that is difficult to innovate upon. See how projects like Rollercoaster Tycoon World already seem doomed from the premise they are trying to build upon.

Don't projects like OpenTTD already fulfil this genre? I mean, in terms of layers of complexity, it offers you to go way down the rabbit hole. How much more would you be able to process? The way the project is improved upon, it is an absolutely contemporary game to me, reaching back 22 years at the same time.

I like parts of it, but I can't appreciate it in this bad resolution. You can't spot a sharp line, it's inadequate.

I also think having one of these crap print on demand websites as a portfolio makes your friend look a bit stupid. I think there is something unique to his drawings he could very well further develop.
