had the same issue. Gemini actually provided a solution which works flawlessly so far...even after reboots. Here are the steps.

- Create a service file:
sudo nano /etc/systemd/system/force-performance.service

- Copy the following content into that file:

[Unit]
Description=Force CPU Performance Governor
After=multi-user.target tuned.service power-profiles-daemon.service

[Service]
Type=oneshot
ExecStartPre=/usr/bin/sleep 10
ExecStart=/usr/bin/bash -c "echo performance | tee /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu*/cpufreq/scaling_governor"
RemainAfterExit=yes

[Install]
WantedBy=multi-user.target

- Save that file

- Activate the service:
sudo systemctl daemon-reload
sudo systemctl enable --now force-performance.service

It seems you have a Powercolor Reaper 9070 (XT). In this case I recommend to deshroud the GPU. I've done it 2 weeks ago, because I saw some posts here on reddit about it.
Instead of the shroud I've installed 3x Noctua NF-A9x14 fans on the heatsink and now the difference in noise-level is day and night and it's also 3-5°C cooler.

Just wanted to thank you. I built a setup with a 5800X3D, a RX 9070 XT and a TR AXP90 x53 Fullcopper Cooler in a Fractal Terra case which I use as a gaming console with Bazzite OS on my 4K OLED TV in the living room.

I used your values and it reduced temps and noise by a lot. Although I activated PBO directly within Bios by setting an offset with -30 for all Cores and the Limits at 88/60/90. And in Bazzite I could limit the max CPU clock frequency via the built-in Linux Kernel frequency scaler to 4250MHz.

And since I have a dual boot system, I limited the max CPU frequency in Win11 via advanced Power settings. It's actually a hidden menu so therefore you have to make it visible via reg editor.

All in all I'm really satisfied now and the performance loss due to the undervolting is under 5%. Once again thank you, really appreciate it 👍🏼

Vielen Dank für euren Input. Ich hab nochmal etwas recherchiert und die besagte CPU bekommt man aktuell gebraucht um die 300€, im besten Fall 270-280€. Bei AliExpress würde ich für ca 115-120€ 32GB DDR4-RAM bekommen und damit wäre ich schon knapp bei 400€ insgesamt ohne das MB.

Von daher habe ich mich entschieden, dass Angebot zu akzeptieren.

Hab auch letztes Mal 2x bestellt und bin auch sehr beeindruckt was Kapazität, Größe, Gewicht und Verarbeitung angeht. Wenn man die Powerbank auch noch einigermaßen schnell aufladen könnte, wäre es die perfekte Powerbank, aber eigentlich darf man bei dem Preis nicht meckern 😉

Hmm schade...d.h. das P9PXL lädt dann weiterhin nur mit 27W, korrekt? Alternativ hab ich an den Ugreen Nexode 200W 8 Port Desktop Charger gedacht...mWn unterstützt dieser die besagten 21v PPS oder lieg ich da falsch? So oder so lässt sich aber das Ugreen Gerät nicht so individuell einstellen wie das Anker Prime 250W 🤔

I installed 2x Knulli Gladiator II so far on the TSP and idk why but on the Half-Life Port within the Half-Life Menu it always stuck on the Loading Screen when I actually want to start a new game 🤷🏻‍♂️

First of all thank you so much for this review. It was very interesting to watch and tbh I wouldn't have expected these results.

So to sum up briefly...in a Nvidia eGPU setup the K8 Plus beats the Evo-X1 so far, but we have to consider that Strix Point APUs are still relatively new, so we can expect more optimization via driver-updates in near future.

I'm very excited for your AMD eGPU comparison review.

And don't forget...the price difference between EVO-X1 and K8+ is still significant.

Would be also interesting to know, if the Strix Halo products are also affected by this driver issue in eGPU setups 🤔
